Heh, they're always hesitant.

Taurus has a turbofan instead of a turbojet like SCALP, so sounds about right to me. Not hitting Moscow with that either pretty sure, but maybe I'm wrong. Would require those Su-24s to get pretty damn close to Russian AD and forfeit a lot of stand off safety. I know the Germans don't have many, but send it Fritz! The lower speed does concern me a little, for best results use with MALD? ATACMS is nice and fast, does maneuvers and is generally a bitch to intercept. For hardened targets they would need to stick with SCALP/Taurus though for sure, no special drilling charge on ATACMS, unless talking Block 3 maybe? Still probably not as good as Taurus/SCALP's warhead, which would also come with better GPS jamming resistance too come to think of it.

Both? Both.

Crimea and other Russian cities should be fair game though, absolutely, especially Rostov-on-Don. Shit any Russian town or city within 100miles of the border gets 'de-militarized' if I had my druthers. No invading force, but anything supporting Russia's invasion gets the smoking crater treatment.

What model ATACMS is might be provided could be interesting. Ukraine could make good use of the original M39s (with the submunitions) that the Army is hoarding. Perfect for air defense sites, pesky Russian helicopter bases, and field depots. Unitary would be useful as well but for different strikes (bridges, munitions bunkers, etc). A sizable combined mission with ATACMS unitary and Taurus against the Kerch Bridge would be nice and quite difficult to defend against.

Moscow is supposedly in range of Taurus which is reportedly part of the German hesitation. Apparently the maximum range on these is greater than previously believed.

I see no reason that military facilities in say Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don should not be host to Ukrainian arrivals though.

I honestly see no reason that the Kremlin shouldn't be on fire tonight. Fuck Moscow. Burn it the fuck down. Doesn't matter who does it.

Biden looking for $13B in military aid and $11B in humanitarian/econ aid in the supplemental.

There is about $10B for FEMA not listed here to cover various disasters in the US.

24 billion for Ukraine, and breadcrumbs to treat drug addicts and homelessness in this country.

You can’t make this stuff up. Maybe one day you guys will wake up and realize these wars are nothing more than money laundering operations for the military industrial complex.

Replace Afghanistan with Ukraine:

Look at the state of Russia, it’s a poverty stricken hell hole and yet they decided to go spend what little money they have invading their neighbor for no reason.

I assume you’re absolutely outraged by that, right?

The death of Russia will benefit everyone, right?

I don’t see the problem.

A country with the GDP of Nebraska mostly toting ex-Soviet gear and NATO hand me downs has destroyed the offensive potential of the mighty Russian army. This is a spectacular investment for the west by any metric.

Says the guy crying about Biden not wanting to send ATACMSs and F16. Why do they need them for bud? Putin is getting his ‘ass kicked’ with NATO hand me downs right? Right. No need to send them planes or long range missiles. They’re doing just fine with hand me down weapons apparently.

-Because, like you, he wants to see this war end.

Russia's ability to launch a meaningful offensive has been badly eroded at this point, but their ability to entrench and fight a defensive war has not.

It's only humane to help the Russians lose quickly rather than slowly. By that standard I would practically consider this pittance of military aide be considered humanitarian aide instead.

As Roger Wilco said yeah, you do kind of have to admit Putin is getting his ass kicked.

Since you’re against war I can only assume you’re happy because this means Russia can’t start future wars.

The longer this drags on, the more people in Ukraine will suffer.

The more people in Africa and the middle east will starve.

One solution to end this much quicker is to arm Ukraine with the best, most modern, most capable weapons, remove all restrictions from the use of said weapons, and allow them to drive every war criminal from their territory.

Not my preferred solution, but one solution.

My preferred solution would be for the USA to declare war on the Russian federation and destroy every Russian military asset, mercenary asset, and organized crime asset outside the Russia border, and put Russia into a naval and economic blockade. Sadly, my leaders are not going to do that. We could prevent any further damage by Russia in less then a week.

Watching you try to decipher then twist this thread is always good for a laugh.

Must be the butthurt of knowing Russia is far from a world super power. Doesn't even have the strongest army in Ukraine *sad trombone* An outnumbered opponent always wants more weapons and ammo. Superior firepower rebukes superior numbers, yet another concept alien to you it seems. Shocking, just shocking.

What part of Ukraine wanting to end a horrible war asap is hard for you to understand? So Joe Biden doesn't take the prospect of WWIII lightly. It's better than the opposite I suppose, and Ukraine is still winning. Russia is losing both this war and it's standing in the world. Russian intelligentsia has fled. Better load up on your copium suppositories. I wouldn't say things are fine. Modern warfare is gruesome stuff, but the Ukrainians are willing to pay the price to kick out the orcs, create a better future for their country. A 5 to 1 kill ratio is helping them do it. You know, get some of what happened for the Baltics. (kudos RnR_au)

Winning the war more quickly is in the interest of both Ukraine and its backers. The only realistic prospect for that to happen is to equip Ukraine with the needed materials.

I tracked down what happened to Russia over the same period.

Life Exp - 1990: 68.89, 2020: 71.34 = +2.45 years
HDI - 1990: 0.73, 2020: 0.82 = 12.3% increase
GDP Per capita - 1990: $3492, 2020: $10169 = 191% increase

Ofcause this doesn't cover what is happening in the regions.

Great work Baltics!

@Young Grasshopper why do you think human prosperity does better the further away it is from Russia?

Well @fskimospy we both know the character involved does not engage in ideas or conversation. They merely spout off the latest Russian propaganda, on repeat.
At best they will note a key word or phrase and quote it to begin their Russian spiel.

Their goal is not to speak to or convince us.
Their propaganda is fuel for MAGA to use, in their goal of betraying Europe, NATO, Ukraine. Their sole desire is to hand Europeans over to Genocide.
