Boeing had dabbled with this before but it looks like they intend to offer the powered JDAM to customers.

Likely to be a crowd pleaser due to accuracy, range, and cost (much cheaper than cruise missiles). Decoy option also an attractive way to soak up expensive air defense missiles. I'm sure Ukraine would like to buy a couple thousand of these.

15 KA-52's was close to 1/4of their remaining fleet that was active at any 1 time, something else i saw someone mention, with the addition of ATACMS it will push those helicopters almost to the limit of their range

They can base out of Yeysk but the extra distance is going to be a huge suck for availability. And they're likely going to have to refuel somewhere in Southern Ukraine for any combat utility. Also putting a ton more hours on the remaining units likely lead to more maintenance downtime.

Die gators, die! It's taken Ukraine a long time to get real tanks, and mines and drones are already enough to worry about. The fewer gators they have to contend with the more Western tanks can do their jobs.

Yep, almost a game changer right there. Deeps mags of that kind of accuracy on the cheap? With decoy cover? Sounds close to unstoppable if used right.

I wonder what the cost will be for the decoy. MALD is really good; 100m more range than the powered JDAM decoy but it's also like $28-30k per. This would be a great time for Boeing to offer some serious value options. A $15k decoy sounds good to me.

So April time frame with some weeks in organising what little logistics they can scrap together and perhaps some minor retraining time.

Perhaps all to hold out until early 2025 where perhaps a new President will stop the flow of American ammo, gear and funding to Ukraine. Or worse... try to push Ukraine to a negotiated settlement with Russia. To which I think Ukraine will just flip USA the bird.

I still don't see the latter happening, even if we're down to mandatory conscripts and rusty knives, it's still a cheap proposition to keep funding this until the end.

Probably can't get the same chips any more. Obsolescence of military electrical hardware is a major problem. No one even has the tooling sitting around to make 50 year-old chips.
