Funny. Poroshenko was on NPR last week railing against Zelensky, that he's the wrong leader for Ukraine and no threat to Putin. That this wouldn't have happened if Poroshenko was still president, etc. Same old shtick. Still, he's there and fighting (well, taking photos, at least? not sure. I won't make hard assumptions about that.) That's well more than you can hope from the Putin-backed GOP swine that leads our country and immediately flees and hides whenever the dangerous consequences of their thoroughly predictable actions come by to say hello.

edit: I did some digging and found that germany spent €57,3B (1,53% of GDP) on the Bundeswehr in 2021, making this a 73% increase year over year. In addition, this would put Germany in 2nd or 3rd place in NATO when it comes to percentage of GDP for defense after being near the bottom for so long.

Non nuclear destruction of Kyiv civilian populations is the thing I'm most concerned about. Not sure if the west will respond militarily in that case which would be a devastating loss. Pretty sure if a nuke flies, someones gonna shut their shit down with a quickness.
