Basically the Ukrainians are waiting for F16's. These will enable them to control the airspace and protect any pontoon deployment. Ofcause a good freeze might enable heavy gear to go across the river without pontoons. It would be interesting to track temps in the Kherson region over the winter.

Putin is paranoid atm. A Mother's of Soldiers group have been denied permission for a demonstration in 3 different cities. Putin doesn't want connections between the regions nor a flame to spark.
