Russia is just a larger NK
Well i was thinking about this the other day; and truth be told at least a few lucky souls can leave now and then - and they don't throw all visitors in jail just most of them.

100%, but contemplate the border size of Russia vs NK.
According to Zeihan this is the entire reason for Russias agression to begin with, if they take Ukraine Poland Baltiics they can decrease their defensible border lines to something manageable even with population collapse.

In an age where we're tearing down borders, free movement of trade work and finance between European countries......... Russia is grinding meat for dirt.

Its so fucking stupid and not what people want. Its not what we want. You fucking idiot.

You lost almost as many men trying to take this one little town as the US did in the entire Korean War.

You have no idea how many people were killed, and neither do I, so let’s not pretend like you or anyone else here, are on the ground counting bodies.

What I do know is the undermanned, poorly trained, underfunded and underarmed side is retreating. That should give you an idea of which side took the bigger ‘losses’.

We have estimates and that’s what they say. Plus you know the drone footage of corpses literally everywhere.

RU has lost more forces in that town than the town had population before the war. Not that any RU supporter would believe it, but it happened regardless. Russia is more likely to drown Ukraine in Russian blood than take the country strategically.

this logic is so fucking stupid......

lets look for example at the United Kingdom during WW2 , at no time did Germany occupy any of the isles yet they suspended elections for 4 years. Try and rub a few brain cells together and think about why.

And to the point did the USA stop supplying the UK because of it?
Boy, you're going to be shocked when you read my post prior to that one. Since you're having difficulty with basic skills like reading I'll quickly cover it. This isn't the era of WW2. Times are modern. Things change and advance. Are you following? I hope so because holding your hand could become tiresome in quick order. If the context isn't sinking in then go read the previous post. Don't like my tone? Don't be abrasive and throw shit from within glass houses. I get along with almost everyone until they're an ass first -- just like in the real world.

Just press the fucking button and get it over with

Basically

If Ukraine wins and begins to move into Russia to prevent same shit happening again? Nukes.

If Russia wins then Poland baltics moldova -> Nukes.

I mean, I am looking for the winning hand here and its not there

Supposing you're a Citizen of Europe like your sig suggests you could move to the USA. We might end up nuked but at least the odds of nuclear fallout blowing over from a neighboring country is lower.

Ukraine needs to hold elections. No ... they have to hold elections to save face with the collective West. It's going to fuck them if they do not.
Disagree. I have zero problems in the suspension of democracy when the very existence of the country is threatened. The collective West is not demanding Ukrainian elections as a condition for any aid and I don't see any loss of standing amongst their allies for not holding elections.

I am sure I am first in the blast… Lets just fucking go. This pussy Putin is banking everything that allied nations wont go “there”. The biggest mistake the west is gonna do is drop last. 100% we’re giving the initiative to Putin. Fuck that guy. Press the button!

In 2001 Avdiivka has a population of 37,000.

Today, it has a population of about that many dead Russian soldiers.

I guess that is a victory of sorts.

To be fair, Russia can keep getting victories like that.

It seems the Ukrainian army is retreating in good order. No breakthrough. Seems the price of a mile is going to be 30,000. Who knows how many more wounded.

-Looks like you and I agree, we both hope all Russian victories come at the cost of Avdiivka

US Republicans stiffing Europe on supplies is going to reduce that number by a lot.
The ground war is won and lost by shelling. If Russia can fire without facing much return fire, their soldiers will advance quicker.
Hopefully drones can effectively make up for some of that, but until I see comparable Russian losses for the next fortress, I remain focused on calling our traitors out.

We need to roil Russia with a crushing defeat, so the likes of India can see the big picture. They are willing to fuel Russian war machine for the next century. We need to snip that here and now.

Indian government: We're sticking with Russia

Not too surprising, Avdiivka. Personnel are more valuable to Ukraine at this point, they reached that limit of how many losses they could accept and then had fall back. Even when you're dropping 7-20 orcs for every guy you lose, you're still taking wounded and KIA. It's only a matter of time before your pool of fighters gets too shallow.

Grats to the AFU for putting up one hell of a fight and getting people out to fight another day. Entire wars have been fought with far fewer dead people as the result, that was some resistance. Russia racking up another Phyrric victory in prep for a month frought for Russian rulers isn't something that bothers me too much though. I know the AFU will be back, and maybe they'll fall back again, only to return again; rinse, lather, repeat. The process of reducing hundreds of thousands of Russians to fertilizer will continue until they pack up and go home.

I think Putin would still rather make Ukraine unuseable for anyone instead of getting both Moscow and himself wiped off the map. NATO getting directly involved is not a winning prospect for him or Russia. If he doesn't get that I'm pretty sure there are others in his orbit that do. Things I know for sure: everyone's got a point of no return, and not everyone wants to go down with the ship.

These are higher figures than I'd heard previously and it looks like Germany is already buying a good chunk of the 122mm for Ukraine. Probably possible to organize the purchase of most of this outside the EU Ukraine arms facility which required agreement. This quantity of shells would enable a significantly stouter defense.
