This stuff in Belgorod does not seem terribly fruitful for Ukraine.
When answering the question "why Ukraine", we are talking about Russian aggression and their "thinking" behind the subject.Do you think a western aligned Ukraine was actually a thread to Sevastopol?
Disagree with what? The countries bordering Russia disagree with you. What do you think you know that they don’t?
Putin's "election" theater is over, so here comes the mobilization I guess. More meat on the horizon.
We can't congress won't allocate any money towards defending Ukraine. We should send the Czechs out into the world with briefcases full of cash from seized Russia funds to buy whatever isn't nailed down. Don't care where it comes from. Don't want to know. We'll pretend we can't read the markings. If it explodes just put it on the truck.

Simply should revalue all of the DOD expired munitions - like hundreds of M39/M39A1 ATACMS missiles - with a more appropriate negative value based on disposal cost (which would be quite significant). Then ship them to Ukraine with other more recent munitions, to bring net value of shipment to ~zero. No budget required. We can reprogram DOD money even if the supplemental or something similar does not pass.

no negative budget , ie you can also spend the money we would of had to have spent on disposal on more weaponsSimply should revalue all of the DOD expired munitions - like hundreds of M39/M39A1 ATACMS missiles - with a more appropriate negative value based on disposal cost (which would be quite significant). It's frustrating to me how little the press picks up on this calculus. It's the national security bargain of the century. The Republican Party should be all over this.Simply should revalue all of the DOD expired munitions - like hundreds of M39/M39A1 ATACMS missiles - with a more appropriate negative value based on disposal cost (which would be quite significant). A couple of tidbits in regards to Moldova. Russia won't be happy. Good.

Ukraine looks to restore container traffic after its success since August 2023 at building grain shipments on its Black Sea corridor. Government officials highlight the addition of container service as well as the expansion of shipments on the Danube will support both the exports as well as increase imports while lowering the cost of goods and transport for Ukrainian businesses.
"The negotiations with the owners of containerships are ongoing, and we've already settled the insurance matter under the Ukraine Facility program," member of parliament and deputy minister Dmytro Solomchuk is quoted as saying in an interview on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine website. "It's crucial that both container shipowners and product customers have a vested interest in insurance. Funds for this are already secured. I'm confident that the beginning of container transportation will undoubtedly bring significant economic benefits."
To me the big pieces would be anti radiation and AIM-120. hopefully pushing VKS and the Russian air defence further and further back.
They dont have integration on the AGM-88 and they dont have AIM-120 on an aircraft with a radar that can engage at long distance. They already get AGM-88s and AIM-120s. To kill off the more capable Russian S-300 systems they need more ATACMS which can strike quickly at range.

That's the secret cap, Russia is always mobilizing. They simply stopped talking about it.Putin's "election" theater is over, so here comes the mobilization I guess. More meat on the horizon.
