This should really scare Russia with regards to USA technology for shooting down all sorts of missiles including large ballistic. The fact of the matter is while Russia has said it has improved it technology the past 20 years; USA has actually improved its technology the last 20 years. In fact Russia claims have probably spurred USA actuality in improvements. I.e, Russia shot itself in the foot with its wild but likely false claims with regards to performance metrics of their technology. Certainly their demonstration in Ukraine war of said technology likely is costing them $$$$$$$$$$$ in weapon sales.

And a quick google search brings up this article:
Yes, system got a bad rap in the first Gulf War trying to intercept Scuds and has been aggressively improved ever since.

Everyone talks about hypersonic missles being so deadly due to their maneuverability...how many g those things hitting in a turn? It has to be huge...i imagine their turn radius is measured in hundred of miles.

Are these things legit ABM defense? Probably classified.

Oh yes, optimized for ABM since PAC-2. Cliffs: PAC-3 is rocking Ka band radar, is more maneuverable, does hit to kill (there is a small charge included 'to be sure' I believe) and has been physically the same for the last 20ish years or so. Software updates have happened, sure, but for comparison Zircon came out in 2021.

Sure was great to hear Putin rave about it like he did, how it had no analog in the world and couldn't be intercepted. Mach 8! Maneuverable! Cracks destroyers like a nut! Uh huh.

A sample of the buffet Russia gets if they fuck with NATO. I bet the CCP wasn't too happy to see this latest Russian defeat either. They're awfully proud of their hyper-sonic weapons as well.

Any chance india would declare war on Russia for forcing India citizen to fight in the meat wave ?
The caste system would suggest that India does not value life.
It you take an honest look, very few nations do. So long as the "other" people go first, just more meat they don't have to deal with.

A real 'hypersonic missile' (as in, one defined as maneuverable at hypersonic speeds) pulls impressive g's. To be frank, the fact that Russia has the capability to reliably launch into orbit but can't manage it should tell you something about the materials sciences required.

A fake 'hypersonic missile' (as in, one defined as capable of reaching but non-maneuverable at hypersonic speeds) is relatively easy, in fact both the US and USSR were capable of in what, the 50's? It's still a feat as of a half century ago, but it's less impressive now.

Thats what i was curious about...what are the limits of the metallurgy? We use titanium alloy for centrifuge rotors and those stretch at up to 100,000 g...i know carbon fiber can hang up to half a million but thats not talking a whole ass missile.

Not my forte, but I'd guess that missiles suffer less than 100k g's at max q (or whatever non-ballistics use for max-q). That said, the strain may be very high regardless since you're talking about a non-ideal shape (a tube) with dramatic lateral forces, a burning desire to go from where they are to where they aren't as fast as possible with as much axial movement as can fit within the mission's delta-v envelope, and likely very few control surfaces.

Speculation FSB agents were in the Theatre as it was getting hit by 4 terrorist. The oddity of these people all wearing the same blue shirt and jeans in the theatre as the agents that caught the terrorist in the forest running away.
and

Always the most likely explanation for this. Putin works well at murdering his own civilians wherever they live and play in order to gain more support. It works really well on fucking Russian cucks like grasshopper and raildogg.

Just curious why the monitor screens are showing english language images.

View attachment 95897
Couldn’t tell you with absolute accuracy, but maybe because that concert hall is part of a much larger entertainment/shopping area referred to as Crocus City.

As a tourist destination, I’d imagine English signs, etc can be found throughout the area.

btw…this concert hall has had English speaking performers like Clapton and Joe Cocker. (Info shamelessly pilfered from Wikipedia.)

Otherwise, not much else to go on for that English language display.

Probably going to see PAC-3 MSE on the Burkes in the future too. Navy/LM is testing integration. In another major shooting war they don't want to run short of missiles so this lets them access that expanded production.

False Flag Operation? Same FSB agent in concert hall seems to be 1 of the arresting officers of the terrorist in the forest less than 24 hrs later.
Not a traditional false flag, in that the terrorists were almost certainly ISIS (or IS-K).

But did FSB know about it / let it happen? That is uncertain, but possible. Russia was certainly quick and thorough in having all internal media magically point the blame at Ukraine. But then again, if another large meteor hit Siberia, Russia would also immediately and similarly entirely pin the blame on Ukraine and perhaps the U.S..

One interesting oddity, this Russian venue was built by a real estate tycoon (Aras Agalarov) with several ties to one Mr. Trump - a lesser known American con man.

Also an interesting oddity about the venue:
1 - It was recently remodeled and has a modern sprinkler system which conveniently did not go off
2 - No security visible in the arena prior to shooting where such a large venue would have security guards throughout the venue and at least in the front.
3 - It took 1hr and 30 min for the police to arrive when the police station is literally a 30 minute walk from the venue

My god, Trump is everywhere and into everything... LOL

Trump's been a useful idiot and money launderer for the Russians since the 90s, a cultivated asset for 40 years.

He tried to make money with casinos, golf courses, bottled water, steaks, planes, beauty pageants, magazines even a bogus university. Now he's got shoes, NFTs, bogus social media.

LOL... it's like you don't have the faintest clue who you are talking about. At least you're having a good time waving that ignorance around though, right? Just imagine the brick your kind would shit if we found out Joe Biden ever shared election data and campaign intel with foreign intelligence. Somehow I think your reaction would be more than dismissive LOLs

times radio with peter zeihan on russian military prospects
some info on Ukraine's 2 new drones and how they are using the US phoenix ghost drone to attack the oil refinery towers. he is arguing that taking out the petro profits is more damaging to the rus economy than the sanctions. the gravy on top is that the drop in oil processing forces them to cut production because there is nowhere to store it. the longer they shut down the drill/pumping the harder it is to get them started back up as they lack the engineers.
he pulls a number out on how much shoigu and friends have stolen from the ru military budget: shoigu ~30%, shoigu's buddies ~30%, so 30% actually makes it to the military. i am assuming he is quoting his thinktank associates. so the prospect of rus rebuilding after the war is pretty grim.

Wait. The Battle of Avdiivka. Ukraine actually won that shit?

When I was first reading about this shit I was thinking "Damn shit they're take massive casualties on this one"... Well it turns out that number might have been in the 8:1 to 10:1 range ratio.
Holy crap, these guys just keeps MacGyvering up new ways to press cancel on Russian meat bags in volume. Its amazing.

I call it "The Symphony of a Million Grenades".

According the Zeihan here Ukraine is also saying "I see your entrenched warfare and raise you with a fuck you" ... and sends autonomous small units into Russia mainland to do asymmetric guerrilla warfare... again with MacGyver style weaponry.

Brilliant.
