I underestimated him, until he actually became president. I thought his campaign was an act to get votes. The evidence piled up pretty quickly that he was an absolute moron. I had no intention of voting for him anyway. His racist campaign announcement speech put me off immediately. The real question is how many people still don't realize just how dumb he is. It is very evident that the US had no intention of helping Ukraine even as the country's defenses are crumbling. The US is now focused on the Middle East as the Israeli political pressures on the US are too strong. No way 99% of Republicans and 97% of Democrats would prioritize Ukraine over Israel.
Attacking NATO would tantamount to suicide. Putin would have to suck and swallow, try to find another way to get that crude to whoever wants to buy it.
