I keep thinking about the ~3 generations of NATO commanders that are absolutely salivating at what they're seeing from the Russian ... incompetence in Ukraine. There would be a 48hr operation needed, and this would be over. Maybe 3 days.

I believe the original estimates by bellingcat were 3 weeks of supplies, and i believe that all depends on the location, in the south they have supply lines and a port where they can resupply from, in the north around Kyiv it's much harder to resupply.Couple weeks ago Russia was "out" of stuff at the completion of the Weekend. They still are pushing though.

I agree. If chemicals are used, it's time to enforce a no fly zone and bomb anything capable of launching chemical weapons.If he uses WMDs, then I think Nato have to escalate to air strikes within Ukrainian territory.
It simply can't go unanswered, as that would only embolden him to try the same again elsewhere knowing Nato would fold their hand.

Plus avoid enraging the Russian public. Anything we can do to keep the Russian public apathetic or even opposed to the war works against Putin. You start murdering POWs and that all goes out the window.No, the answer is to treat them incredibly well. If a third country would house them away from the conflict and feed them with a guarantee of repatriation or their choice of applying to another country to stay you'd get more surrendering.
