From a drone?
Though seems one has to take it on faith that the first part and second part are footage of the same event. For all I know they could be two unrelated bits of war footage stuck together.

Even if the the second part isn't the same Javelin it still looks like a Javelin to me judging from that flight profile.

... K, so if this is accurate, they got exposed to an extraordinary amount of radiation. Probably between 2 and 8 Sv to bring a fatality in a matter of days. Literally anyone else nearby at the time will die 'soon', from pure exposure or acute cancer.

You can get the Russians out of Chernobyl, but you can’t get the Chernobyl out of Russians.

And on the streets of Moscow, business as usual - negligible impact of sanctions, and no recognition that a war is even going on, but concern Poland might “start” a war. Belief companies are just paying lip service to sanctions and will be back to normal in a few months (with real supporting examples). Ruble basically back at pre-war level. And no concern but almost enthusiasm of potential to use nukes to achieve political goals (after years of propaganda normalizing this).

That's scary. I hadn't thought about it, but I can't say I'm surprised that many Russians, particularly those lower educated, would have absolutely no idea of the history of Chernobyl.

A nation conditioned to cheer on nuclear war.
At some point first strike is the best bet we're gonna get.

More western propaganda. Everyone knows the Red Forest is perfectly safe.

The term "Red Forest" sounds like it is right out of a video game or horror movie. Our virtual worlds becoming reality in the most disturbing manner possible.

For your amusement, precision missile strike uploaded as propaganda by the Russian Ministry of Defense. No, seriously, this video is from the Russian MoD:
Managing to hit an empty courtyard (in the middle of a railway maintenance facility) takes expert targeting skillz.

"Our missile blow up, dah? See--Biden lie to you! Russian missile work! Death to the west!"

While all the media attention on the rout/retreat near Kyiv, the southeast remains ugly and dire. One key Ukraine supply line to the Donbas front now confirmed fully captured by Russia, another 50k population town gutted, and Russia inching closer to encircling that front.

I fear its gonna come down to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. I would hate to see a repeat of Debaltseve (Ukrainians got pocketed there in 2015). Hopefully the Ukrainians can get enough forces over to the east in time to stop the Russians.

And what kind of madness unfolds when they realize nothing is going back to normal.

Just going to add that Moscow isn't Russia.

I follow several Russian Youtubers who lived most of their lives outside of large metropolitan center's and they all say it is not a representation of the country at all. Russia's capital is actually quite European and modern, that's where all the money goes. The political elite, along with their families reside there, it's not really for the average everyday folk.

Not only that but all the wealthy Russians living abroad are returning and bringing the wealth they can. Black markets are basically ingrained in Russian society and that's like 20fold for the rich there. There was an article about the Russian elite that were speaking out against the Ukraine invasion that now are basically falling in line to support Putin. Granted a lot of that is probably because they're having to flee back to Russia and not falling in line has a habit of getting them falling out high rises, but also sounds like the propaganda is working and a lot of Russian society is taking the reaction to their bullshit behavior as unfair and so now are just supporting it because they're mad they're personally losing their ill gotten privileges. Sound like anybody else?

Moscow will probably end up like Land of the Dead.

China is gonna own Russia in a couple of decades because far too many Russians are apparently fucking morons and intent on spiting themselves just so they end up having to whore themselves out to China instead. I hope the sane ones can get out.

Its a shame we can't ship all our like minded moronic shit heads there so they can get to see what their utopian fascist society would be like, where they're the outsiders. Maybe then they'd be able to detach their faces from Turmp and other dipshit Republicans' asses.

They need to be mindful that the retreat of the Russian forces near to Kyiv isn't a rope a dope to get Ukraine to move forces East and then Russia move to take Kyiv.

Was thinking that Zelenskyy's star has risen and is still rising and dare we say he has a Churchill moment going on?...
Can we afford that light to be snuffed out by The Vlad?

I think this might end up going on for awhile. Russia is getting help from China, India, Israel, and U.A.E. Putin's got a sizeable enough chunk of his population sufficiently brainwashed and on his side (everyone else cowed under threat of prison) it could well give him enough breathing room to ward off 'unscheduled retirement'.

Not that it matters to the Ukrainians, who understand that negotiations with Russia are ultimately worthless and Putin can never be trusted. Just have to keep killing Russians until they stay home.

It's funny that you talk about shipping like minded people from the US to Russia because China owns a lot of the big liberal companies/entities in the US. I'm more than happy to send the China wannabes over so they can bask in the great authoritarian censorship Utopia
