That's scary. I hadn't thought about it, but I can't say I'm surprised that many Russians, particularly those lower educated, would have absolutely no idea of the history of Chernobyl.... And on the streets of Moscow, business as usual - negligible impact of sanctions, and no recognition that a war is even going on, but concern Poland might “start” a war. Belief companies are just paying lip service to sanctions and will be back to normal in a few months (with real supporting examples). Ruble basically back at pre-war level. And no concern but almost enthusiasm of potential to use nukes to achieve political goals (after years of propaganda normalizing this).

I fear its gonna come down to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. I would hate to see a repeat of Debaltseve (Ukrainians got pocketed there in 2015). Hopefully the Ukrainians can get enough forces over to the east in time to stop the Russians.
