I was thinking, we're probably going to get to a point where Ukrainians become the authorities on using high end American gear like HIMARS. The NATO equivalent of Cubans and Russian vehicles basically. We'll be sending our guys to Ukraine to train under Ukrainian vets someday maybe.

Months of long, bloody and painful gains by RU wiped out in a couple of days. And it sounds like some units have been absolutely shattered on the RU side. I think the biggest risk to UA now is over extension because where ever RU scrapes some reinforcement troops from its going to take time

Typically, there would be a reserve held back to exploit any breakthrough.

But, this breakthrough appears to be that total that the initial echelons may have been able to push on themselves toward the objectives.

So, if the reserve group has sufficient supplies to extend beyond current positions while not overextending, expect them to be in the process of committing already.

Another important part is that this isn't foreign territory, it's home soil they're retaking. Half the supplies they need are waiting for them in every city they liberate. Even more than half depending on what the Russians abandon.
