Also in case anyone is wondering @whyitso is lying about Russian wages. It's true that recent offers have been that high due to recruitment troubles but by most indications that salary is about 300% the normal Russian soldier salary. So if someone's making $1,000 per month stealing a washing machine that represents 15% of your monthly salary suddenly makes perfect sense.
No, it’s pretty pointless due to low selling price, low trophy value in eyes of women and very high transportation cost (Russia is big, and it costy to send something to distant Sibirean place).
I think it’s propaganda meme, created in 2014. At that time the Ukrainian soldiers was accused at washing machines stealing from “rich” towns in separatist Donbas region and sending to poor west Ukrainian villages. Now it reverted back for mocking propose.
However, today I saw a Sharij video with interviews from Izyum. Common people told Russian forces didn’t stole anything and helped them, but DPR mobilized men looted everything, including washing machines. It’s sound realistic, due to short distance and low income of mobs.

Also for an insight into Russia's character just look at how they conducted themselves in Chechnya, Syria, etc.

Isn't it weird how everywhere Russia sends its army to invade and commit genocide, it appears that all of the invaded populations end up committing all the war crimes and genocide against themselves?

Truly astonishing. Perhaps our new genocide collaborator has a way to explain this?

@whyitso
By now you know Russia is going to lose.

The 1st guards were wtf pwned at Izyum, and they were the best Russia had. If they could not hold, nobody Russia has is going to stop the AFU. It is obvious Kherson is just one big trap.

You also have indicated you feel Russia losing will be the end of Russia. Since Russia losing is now inevitable to even the most jaded 3rd party observer, what are you going to do when the civil war kicks off?

I get it is your job to post here and all that, but if the Russian state collapses as you indicate it will, that job is gone. The masses are going to french revolution the old regime, and your part of that regime.

Are you able to get out now while the escaping is good? Because if you stick around the mob is going to decide your fate.

My favorite part about this is you're simultaneously claiming that it isn't happening AND that you know what they would intend to do with the things they stole. See a small problem there? lol.

'A notorious pro-Russia blogger showed me a video of X' is not exactly credible evidence. Also, 'the Russian's didn't steal it, it was Russian proxy forces stealing it!' is not exactly a great excuse. It's kind of like saying 'it wasn't Russia, it was the Wagner Group! We barely know those guys!'

For the third time, what evidence will you accept that Russia has committed systematic war crimes in Ukraine? Why is this hard to answer?

I feel bad for Russia really, everyone's always framing them!

Every country when Russia invades, just to make Russia look bad:

Nyet, nyet, Mother Russia never invades, it just sends security forces on special defensive operations to protect Russians because it was reluctantly forced to. (And large majority of Russkies actually believe this drivel, given rampant state media brainwashing perfected in Russia before being exported to Fox)

I think my favorite/worst part of Russia propaganda is lots of people in Russia still claim Russia has never invaded another country, only defended itself... while it's currently in the middle of invading another country.

Russian TV is promoting the idea MAD does not exist. That Russia cannot lose because they can just nuke Europe to win, so Russians can "live" in Ukraine.
And no one would lift a finger to respond on behalf of a Europe that no longer exists.

That was a topic of conversation on their war for Genocide in Ukraine.

Lol so salty since they can’t get to their vacation spots or second homes easily anymore. Visa bans really hitting the mark.

Moar. Moar.

Switzerland should halt all medical visitations that don't involve emergencies. Refer those face lifts and cancer treatments to Cuba. Shit'em right up.

Denys has released another excellent update:

The Russian strategy of accepting DPR's rushed "federation referendum," and thus now an active target of "NATO" forces on "Russian soil" is a bit of a stretch that even our most-hardened Russophiles such as Brandonbull and tajjy might be laughing even trying to type it.

But I do "admire" the Russian's absolute dedication to forcing completely false and coerced referendum's upon genocided cultures, initiated by imported Russian officials, in some attempted claim to acceded territory that they think the world doesn't see.

It's truly staggering.

Any vacations planned whyitso? I hear it's nice in Cri...oh, nm.

Landing gear not able to go up for one minute is almost certainly due to the Nose Landing Gear spin brakes being worn out or missing. There are a few versions of spin brake pads, but the most common are just a few machined aluminum bars. If the airline can't even make that themselves they've got some serious issues.

FYI: Spin brakes stop the nose tires from spinning when the gear is retracted since the nose gear doesn't have it's own brakes. This is to prevent a flailing tread from beating the shit of the wheel well. Waiting a minute or two lets the tire slow down before retraction. Delayed landing gear retraction also significantly increases the length of distance for takeoff needed.

For the third time, what evidence will you accept that Russia has committed systematic war crimes in Ukraine? Why is this hard to answer?
1. you clearly want to prove Russia's guilt, not an objective study of the situation
2. I suppose there are crimes in any war. Ukrainian troops commit them just as much in regard to the "separatists" and the "colabarants," under which a significant percentage of the population of the war zone falls.
However, you are clearly willing to turn a blind eye to this. And you demand to pay attention only to the crimes of the Russian troops.
Of course, with the good purpose of helping the country - the victim of aggression. Maybe your media thinks the same way and they are not so objective in reporting information with the same good purpose?
3. As soon as Ukraine claims any evidence of Russian crimes, Western officials immediately strongly condemn them, 100% sure of the truthfulness of these claims. And they immediately allocate new sums of money from taxpayers' pockets for the war.
If Russia alleges crimes by the AFU against civilians, it is either hushed up or requires commissions to study the issue (and then it's quiet again).
4. There are probably some crimes, but they are blown out of proportion by Ukrainian and Western propaganda (with the freest and most objective media in the world, but Fox is an exception). Such as the allegations of genocide. The Russians are committing genocide against the Russians. But the Western average citizen will not get into the contradictions. He should pay and be happy that the Russians are being kicked in the teeth.

That's why I don't want to talk about this topic. Show for starters that you are willing to look at things objectively, rather than grasping at propaganda clichés. For example, comment on Strelkov's post that I posted earlier.

Of course they do.

After Izyum, thanks contributions by the 1st Guards, Russia has has pulled ahead in donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As an American, we just cannot let that stand! We are the arsenal of democracy after all. The only thing to do is double down on our contributions to Ukraine.

Which is why the Abram's MBTs are on the way.

I could not be more proud of the expenditure of my taxes! Slava Ukraini !

I think my favorite/worst part of Russia propaganda is lots of people in Russia still claim Russia has never invaded another country, only defended itself... while it's currently in the middle of invading another country.
Yes, from the history lessons at Russian school one can get the feeling that the largest country in the world became such by defending its fellow believers, brothers, and neighbors in trouble. Or, when repelling another aggression, it got back more than it had. If we talk about history before the 20th century, "everybody was like that at that times". Well, it is always possible to explain the war by strategic necessity, a threat from other great world powers.
But are there many countries where history textbooks condemn their country's actions in the past? I don't think there are many. Usually, condemnation occurs only in countries that were defeated and committed to national repentance, which is a rather painful condition.

There are plenty of classic justifications for the current military operation: to protect the Russian people, language and faith; to fight repugnant Nazism, the worship of Hitler's Nazi helpers, the desecration of the sacred memory of the great victory; to protect strategic interests; to counter a hostile alliance; "we did not want to, we had to"; to end a regime that spreads hatred among brotherly peoples.
To this is added the not very understandable to the average man, but very ambitious "end U.S. dominance in the world". This is apparently intended for the world community, to gather a coalition against the current state of affairs in the world order. Perhaps this is where things are best for Russia

Russia could be stoking up the scare factor. Will a frighten public support full mobilisation?
No one wants a full mobilization, as the mass of untrained and poorly equipped soldiers will suffer mass casualties. But there are plenty of people in the country who have combat experience or suitable training, but do not want to participate in the war. If hostilities begin on Russian territory, including the newly annexed territories, it will be impossible for them to evade conscription on legal and moral grounds.

How will they be equipped? North Korean gear? The conscripts you have 'harvested' from the annexed territories haven't fielded a high tech level of gear.

Edit:
If you think that this will go like the WWII and Russia will be able to push itself to Germany again with the help of penal battalions and catastrophic losses, just remember that USSR received massive amounts of material aid under WWII from the USA via Lend-Lease. More than half the ammunition USSR used under WWII was American ammunition. You don't have this help any more. And the tech disparity between NATO and whatever you can field are much greater today than 75 years ago. ffs you can't even make modern tanks anymore.

In fact, not most of the Russian weapons are on the Ukrainian front. A huge number of tanks, combat vehicles and artillery are in reserve. Modern military equipment is even being sold abroad right now, which causes bewilderment among die-hard patriots.
