Certain stocks are low (155mm shells in particular) but we've got oodles of other stuff. The US didn't anticipate suppling a major tube war since that's not really how we fight.
Also the characterization of the 105mm L119/M119 gun being a 2nd class weapon vs the 155mm guns isn't really good. They are very good replacements (more accurate and longer range) for 122mm soviet caliber guns and are much more mobile than 155s.
