I've heard that attack being called a diversion/white noise to drown out what's really happening.... why would AFU put themselves in the exact same logistical nightmare that the Russians were in ? Getting enough people/supplies in and out with boats isn't easy, that area is also very marshy, not many defensive positions

Well, if they have the ability to harass and disrupt the Russian ability to form a new defensive line they should do it. They have to cross the Dnipro eventually and if there is an opportunity it should be taken. I’m confident that Ukraine won’t piss away forces through overextension.

Also, Russia wants to redeploy the Kherson forces to other fronts, better to make them defend everywhere.

I don't know much about the story. Only read a few tweets at the time.

He was a Russian prisoner fighting for Wagner who defected to Ukraine and apparently started to fight the Russians. He then got captured and Wagner decided to make an example of him, filmed his execution with a sledge hammer and released it on social media.

There are some questions regarding that story. One rumour goes that the prisoner wouldn't have been trusted at the front line. One tweet said that an interview done by the Ukrainians of the prisoner had several million views, and this is the real reason why Wagner wanted him badly. A rumour goes that Wagner demanded the Russian back, otherwise there won't be anymore prisoner exchanges. Wagner also offered 20 Ukrainian POW's in exchange for this one guy. Another story goes that the gent in question went back to Wagner willingly knowing full well the consequences he would suffer.

He was very calm in the video so I can believe that he went back willingly in exchange for 20 Ukrainians.

Moral of the story: if your Russian oligarch dad wants to trade cars for some reason, say No.

Poland is very much going to want to message to the Kremlin that this is not ok. How exactly that message is delivered is a question.

US has assessed the missiles were Russian. Since the entire area is under intense surveillance this is something they can determine quickly.

Now to see if the Russians apologize (smart) or lie and say the Poles did it to themselves to make them look bad (very very very not smart).
