I’m sure if this war was being entirely funded by billionaires no one would care. But when there are people sleeping under bridges, families going bankrupt of medical debt and drugs pouring into the country, it’s going to rub people the wrong way when 100+ billion are sent to aid another country instead of fixing problems here.

I am amazed at how many people here are perfectly fine with depleting our treasury of nearly 150 billion US tax dollars for a non NATO country.
If they’re a NATO country, sure. But the US owes NOTHING to Ukraine, and we’re better off using this money for our own people instead of going around trying to police the world.
We’ve lost our last war in Afghanistan and we’re going to lose this one as well, especially if China gets involved. China is not going to sit around and see their closest ally lose this war. They will step in if needed.

If you want to build up your military in preparation for war that’s fine, just don’t sign peace agreements as a cover for doing so is all I’m saying. Merkel/Portoshenko/Hollande/Zelensky have all said this agreement was not about bringing peace in the Donbass, and instead used it as cover to buy time. Probably not a good idea to try and deceive a nuclear armed neighbor when it comes to this kind of stuff.
When are you guys going to start rooting for this war to end? And enough with this ‘war will end when Putin leaves Ukraine’ garbage. Not going to happen. Get to the negotiating table and let’s get this stupid war over with, you know like how most wars end, at the negotiating table.
The war should end when Ukraine wishes it to or when their internationally recognized territorial integrity is restored through use of arms, whichever happens first.
