I was against the Iraq War from before it even started but what I was always rooting for was us to not/stop our invasion, not that the US Army would lose.
It’s not so much that they think US policy should be more isolationist, that’s fine.They would tell you that betraying Europe / NATO and telling the world to !@#$ off is "America First" policy. That having allies is anti American. That the world should be left to despots who seek to murder and enslave others. That our past mistakes make us no better than Russia / China and thus we have no right to stand in the defense of others. Failing that, they will claim we have no interest in doing so.

Yeah it definitely wouldn't meet the legal standard for treason but I agree it is disloyal in spirit.One could argue that it could be considered treason. Maybe not by the legal definition, but the spirit of it.
