Asia continues to disappoint in so many ways. We may have some allies, but the rest of the countries...
Could it be South America is even worse?
World should move on from Ukraine war, focus on poverty, says Indian official
If the world does not value Democracy. And does not value supporting the victims of an ongoing Genocide....
Humans that value human life are clearly an exception to the rule.....
Yes, yes... human history and all that. I shouldn't be surprised. It's just that when I came across this example, the implications and logical conclusions are rather disturbing. Are we the anomaly? I start to wonder if there isn't a massive deviation from what our policy is, and what it should be. The idea that we shouldn't just kill anyone we get our hands on. That's actually unique for us and our allies isn't it... These countries make it rather apparent that they do not value our distinction. They would not hesitate to behave like Russia has in the past year.
Our notions of morality have clouded my judgement as to what the world is. And likely, how it should be dealt with. I want to see us in them, I do. But whenever I look I find only the deepest and darkest of pits. I find a people who endorse Russia. I find no evidence that they are not every bit as evil as Russia. Or that they shouldn't share the same fate.
Is the western notion that human life should be valued... that human rights should exist... are these ideas of ours anything more than a flash in a pan? A fleeting moment passing us by?
I do not find that they are endorsed as they should be. Nor do I find that we can even maintain them ourselves.
Guess nuclear weapons will be the ultimate wager on this question. If our species can be worthy.
Currently, there are so many things that raise my doubts.
