Supply chain is complicated and involves much of Asia. Anyway if a company is caught breaking the export ban they are royally f'd.
China does not manufacture all the high tech. componentry then. give it time.
the longer trade warz and angst continues the more likely theyll go it alone. for whatever they can get away with. outside of u.s. / western controlled supply chains.

can see this already in various non western bloc trade.
if not openly they'll do it on the sly and lie about it.

could be good for some more autarky as it were. emerging markets and exploitation.
china is the monkey that sees and copies.

anywho way over my head. ill leave it to the biggest bullies to sort out XD

But on the other hand, even while allowing possibility that Russians are killing civilians when talking to the West, there is this: US still "concerned" China is planning to directly assist Russia's military equipment. China still does appear to excel at talking out of both sides of their mouth.
.
Just sayin'... While Putin was building up his invasion force over many many weeks, Biden's response was "think twice, Vlad, you're going to face harsh sanctions if you invade." Now a major question is: will China answer Vlad's request for aid (a major part of that, military, I believe)? Biden's response: "think twice, Xi, you're going to face harsh sanctions if you actively support Vlad." We've seen that Vlad never dreamed of how harsh those sanctions could be, I'm convinced of that (they faced some sanctions before, I believe in 2014, but nothing like what's happened since the Feb. 24 invasion). Xi might be seriously wondering if enduring sanctions from the west is worth supporting Vlad's unprovoked and limitlessly brutal imperialist expansionist war.
WH keeping the pressure up on Xi for when they speak. Congress is already talking about China sanctions if they help the Russians, the EU would certainly follow.
Yup.

Yup.
but think of the inflation. 'we' or those that do so anyway, love inflation. it increases unit prices for the rich.
<3

commodities are thru the roof right now. increasing dividends.
the rich can rake it in. and the little people will have to economise. until they get used to it.

not to mention feeding the real troll that is inflating away debt, while expanding the money supply.
one big happy circle.

Xi might be seriously wondering if enduring sanctions from the west is worth supporting Vlad's unprovoked and limitlessly brutal imperialist expansionist war.

but im told often i dont really understand financial markets. well im totally open to being educated.
xi, putin and uncle sam. the ultimate triumvirate of bullies. lol
interesting, to be sure. but of course my bet is on the u.s.
the consequences of more sanctions and trade rifts is demolition of supply chains worldwide and massive price inflation. globally.

this could of course be exactly the kick up the arse needed to increase expansion into emerging markets outside of china. which is i hate to say one of the supposedly trumpian objectives. sort of. if not it certainly is china's XD

Totally normal thing to need to do

Ah, where there's a will there's a way. Putin is on shaky ground. One way or another I have to think he will disappear from the stage before long. The sanctions, the sanctions...

Um, maybe a slow acting poison will get to his stomach.

Edit: And maybe an antidote will make it to the canaries in time to save them!

Good for bunkers, but that's about it. Gotta get kinda close too. If the Russians are digging in it will be useful though. We have plenty of SMAWs and they are cheaper than high end drones. Making a hole to sit in really does sound like a poor way to deal with marauding drones, though making yourself hard to see/reach from ground forces is always helpful. Didn't work for the Armenians though if memory serves.

RPG-9s, LAWs, Javelins, NLAWs, Stingers, GROMs, Panzerfausts, RPV-16s, Starstreaks, and now SMAWs. Did Carl get invited? Is he there? Oh Carl.

Ukraine is turning into the Baskin-Robbins of large bore tube weaponry. Get some Russia.

Just trying to give helpful suggestions!
I understand, I thought it was silly to invoke the name of god or Jesus when swearing since I had no connection to them, so I excised them from my swearing decades ago

Yes. But you are female correct? Vastly superior to my prospects of reeducation . At the end of the day you have to look at what is in a persons heart not out of context snippets. But yea, we're always on a path to better our selves, got a couple of trans in the circles so getting used to the pronouns. As long as you dont hate on me when I get it wrong.

What a boost in morale for Taiwan I'd say, they see it can be done. The Ukrainians aren't just 'being a thorn in the side' of the invaders They're producing mortal blood loss to Russian forces, this just can't keep up much longer.
Question is Taiwan's logistical options for "re-supplies" if/when shit hits. Also how deep western intelligence is digged-in in the area. Ukraine is sort of special in that regard.

edit: But, if as the case with Ukraine, Taiwan wants western ideals democracy and individual freedoms ... I dont see why there is not boots on the ground. Should be. Fuck em.

They hit the airbase in Kherson again, Lieutenant General and some other higher ups were hit supposedly, no verification yet
Yep, still to be confirmed, but big news if true. That’s the Lieutenant General in command of Russia’s 8th combined-arms field Army. One level up from the prior 4 major generals that were liquidated in Ukraine, and likely is the highest ranking officer in theater.

He uses tasters, so that might be out.

Poison underwear again? Give Vlad's codpiece just a spritz of something horrible, on account of what his balls have done to so many people. Yeah I could live with that. It is March after all.

Yes, something has to break. My hope is the spine of the Russian forces.

China is much larger, and growing much more advanced by the year.
Taiwan has a massive ocean between it and its allies. They would quickly find themselves isolated and alone. There is no comparison.
China will use mines / drones to sink anything approaching their defensive position, it'll be over before it begins.

Billion dollar fleet will lose to million dollar drone arrays.

The battle of Taiwan is a battle of economics for sure.
I mean if Xi takes Taiwan...... Game Over?
