I think Putin's endgame is to destroy Kyiv if he can't take it, and I don't know what the west's response will be to that. I do think global nuclear war is likely however, as after Ukraine he'll probably move on to another country, and eventually something will trigger the big guns to come out.

Quite aware.
Paths I can deduce from my armchair general status:
1) Ukraine concedes, becomes part of Russia (exceedingly unlikely)
2) Russian forces in Ukraine rout, Russia loses Crimea/Donbas regions, Putin backs down, takes his ball, goes home, Russia becomes new NK (pretty fucking unlikely)
3) Russian forces in Ukraine rout, Putin nukes Kyiv (exceedingly likely)

If the first one or last one happens with no western response:
Russia moves on to Finland, west does nothing, Russia continues to invade whatever they can touch until they hit a NATO country (highly likely if no response to 1/3).

If the above happens, they'll eventually hit a NATO country. If NATO has no response, Russia becomes the new world order and eventually everyone becomes Russian. If NATO responds at any point, global thermonuclear war.

So we've basically got a couple exceedingly unlikely scenarios, and nuclear holocaust. Or someone physically close to Putin puts a bullet in his head.

Moldova was pretty clearly leaked as immediately next up on the plate to be gobbled up, if Ukraine had gone to plan. Undoubtedly following another false flag "Nazi genocide" of the Russian-speakers in Transnistria or similar pretense.

Likely a few more years until the Baltics and/or Poland were up on deck, Putin would likely have planned on a few years to "pacify" Ukraine and Moldova - even in the most optimistic Russian war success mindset.
