Main thing seems to be that China's role in the global economic system is very different to Russia's. As a manufacturer rather than an extraction-economy they have much more to lose from disruption. The peaking of their population seems ominous though - presumably it means the perpetual supply of cheap labour from rural areas to the city is going to now dry up? Wonder what that means for Chinese politics and the global economy?
