Russia spying on powerful people? Without a doubt.
Trump careless in his actions? Almost his brand at this point.

Likes piss parties? Yikes. IDK, rich people can afford to be weird, and he obviously likes humiliation.. so yeah, maybe.

So all the parts are at least plausible, so what to doubt? Eh, just that the Russians managed to actually catch him on tape.

Probably the most suspicious thing to me now is that this "Source E" not only knew that Trump likes piss parties, but is also a personal friend/associate of Trump, knows first-hand that Russia hacked the DNC, knows first-hand an arrangement with Wikileaks and Russia, and personally knows spies planted within the DNC by Russia. Further, Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen just recently claimed that the allegation of ever going to Prague (another claim made by Source E) is false, kind of a risky thing to say if not true. I'm going to laugh so hard if there was once a valid case in this story only to be ruined by a single bad source and BuzzFeed's desire for attention.

Run with this story as hard as you can. If evidence comes out later demonstrating it's conclusively false, keep running with it. Bring it up constantly. Use it as a rebuttal to everything, regardless of how absurdly out of context. Hold hearings on it. Lots of hearings, over and over and over. Doesn't matter if they all reach exactly the same conclusion. It's not the answer that matters, it's the show.

That's how you win elections in this country. Truth? Truth is for losers.

Reddit seems to be wrong, at least about the general allegations. (Not sure about the pee part) The source is a former British intelligence official that the US intelligence community has found to be generally credible. You don't report something to the president unless you think it's at least reasonably likely to be accurate.

Take a look at morning joe right now, MSNBC are refusing to even acknowledge the existence of the reports. Meanwhile it's all over CNN. It's 100% obvious now that msnbc is in it for Trump.


They just had one of Joe's dumb female Trump lovers go on and on about how we "need to give his picks a chance", but no mention of this 35 page report. I mean come on! I always thought they were pro-trump, but at this point they are barely a news show.

imo if it turns out that the contents of the report are fake, Buzzfeed is the last organization you or anyone should blame. They at least put it out there for people to talk about. Would you rather have seen CNN cite this report without any specifics and just let it fade away?

We have no idea if some or any of the allegations in it are true right now, just that the source is credible enough that the intelligence community thinks it's worth further investigation, which definitely says something.

One interesting contrast between Obama and Trump is that if someone made these accusations against Obama people would basically dismiss them out of hand. I can't help but notice that nobody appears to think this is something that someone of Trump's character wouldn't do.
