Hey man, I can totally relate. It so frustrating when no one understands you. It's even worse when you can see something SO OBVIOUS that others must be willfully ignorant not to see it too.

Don't get too stressed out though. You should take a holiday. I hear Cambodia is nice this time of year.

I think it's time he leave this evil place and move in with Dr. Assad, or his Dear Leader. Whatever he's earned it is in part due to the people he despises, the US citizen.

In short I'd say GTFO.

If only we had the ability to see this coming years ago when we got involved in Syria.
You knew. Maybe not you, but so many fools here. At least I hope they are fools and not willfully propagandizing, for then they are partly directly responsible for mass human deaths and suffering. Anyone who really thinks this is an internal rebellion is beyond stupid. Willful idiots.

The newly declassified DIA document from 2012 confirms that the main component of the anti-Assad rebel forces by this time comprised Islamist insurgents affiliated to groups that would lead to the emergence of ISIS. Despite this, these groups were to continue receiving support from Western militaries and their regional allies.

Noting that “the Salafist [sic], the Muslim Brotherhood, and AQI [al-Qaeda in Iraq] are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria,” the document states that “the West, Gulf countries, and Turkey support the opposition,” while Russia, China and Iran “support the [Assad] regime.”

The 7-page DIA document states that al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), the precursor to the ‘Islamic State in Iraq,’ (ISI) which became the ‘Islamic State in Iraq and Syria,’ “supported the Syrian opposition from the beginning, both ideologically and through the media.”

The formerly secret Pentagon report notes that the “rise of the insurgency in Syria” has increasingly taken a “sectarian direction,” attracting diverse support from Sunni “religious and tribal powers” across the region.

This is the first well informed opinion on Syria I've read from an anandtech poster. Let me guess... you aren't an American?

I don't understand why most of my countrymen are so easily deceived by western propaganda about Syria. It's like they've all been brainwashed to somehow view the entire middle east as evil and worthy of nothing but being bombed. There's never a problem in the middle east that the average american chickenhawk isn't happy to drop a bomb on.
I have often wondered if the majority of posters in P&N are prison inmates with internet access and lots of free time. If the popularity of certain memes here are indicative of the wider American population, then you're no longer a sane country. So sad to see a great nation stumble.

What are the ideas here on what to do if the USA launches strikes on Syria and then afterwards, one or two American ships are sunk in the Med? Anyone thinking about that?

I found you a better source that backs up the other article I showed you. I understand why you saw that one as less than reputable, but I hope you find DerSpeigel (one of the most famous german newspapers) as an adequate source.

they interviewed some lady who lost her brother and son. She must be the most unlucky lady in the world to have the only 2 losses. russians are dumb and suck and they died in mass amounts.

I agree that Russians are dumb, and suck. I am wondering why you trust some Russian woman being interviewed about her "sons" who "died" more than the biggest, most reputable newspaper in Germany along with a military analysis blog written by an American professor of Russian studies.. She (the "mother") is a Russian, they are all liars.

That Putin is a trickster. He likes to play tricks like these on foreign media - sending out actors to pretend to be dead family members of victims of his plots. The reasons for these various schemes and contra-schemes are too numerous to name, but they are all conducted by Russians. The only way to be safe is to never trust a Russian.

He acts that way to the media, but who is to say that he does not have some ulterior motive for making it appear that 200 Russian PMCs were killed? Those are not regular Russian troops under his command. They are a private military run by an Oligarch. Putin is reportedly not fond of these "contractors" because they represent a military force outside of his control. It very well may serve Putin's purposes for these PMCs to appear bad publicly (to Russians and the world) but at the same time it may also serve his purposes to downplay what happened publicly.

buddy. you are pretty stupid sometimes.

You tell me, you are the expert here. Is this CGI? Seems like pretty good graphics. What software and hardware do they use to generate digital Bashar?

https://youtu.be/B-fGozWolVM

Also I wonder where Bashar is getting the money to digitally generate hollywood quality CGI versions of himself all over Syria.
