Rather than burry these in some 1000 page thread, may as well make them easy to find.

The performance is better than I expected. Fair bit faster than a 5700XT, but at a lot lower power consumption. Ray Tracing is poor, but that should not be a surprise. I do find it sad that TPU had to change their `Performance per Dollar` chart to include the obscene street prices

I had a sleep issue many years back with a vega 56 and an even older mainboard.

Disabling PCI power management in windows did the trick for me.

I read a bit further and it seem that it happened with the 5000 series too. Looks like you and @psolord are right about disabling ULPS.

So when I got back home earlier today, I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them (21.8.2 WHQL) with a "Minimal install" instead of a "Full install" and disabled ULPS in the registry.

So far so good, PC don't reboot when the screen goes in sleep mode. I will keep an eye on it for some time but looks stable now!

If the 6600XT was priced well, and readily available, I would have opted for one or the 3060 Ti.

Couldn't justify the price of the 3060 Ti, even at $479 retail for the MSI Ventus (x2 fans) when it first debuted.

Eventually found a x3 fan version from Gigabyte, for the 3060 Ti, for $580 retail, several months later.
Played Diablo 2-R at 16x AA, max settings, 1080p, fluid uncapped FPS
I had to lower the AA to 2x so the card would stop roaring as loud.

On quality 750w Gold PSU.
Forced my UPS to stutter on power and slowed the game down until I shutdown the desktop and switched the plug to non-UPS bypass.

Not sure what the 6600XT would have done with in-game visual 3D lighting or performance, but if it offered stellar 1080p performance at half the cost of the a 3060 Ti, then I would have def. opted for it, say around $300 + tax

I get you, I was also looking for something nicer than a 6600 XT, like a 6700 XT or 3060 Ti (both are around 1200-1500CAD whene there's stock) but I couldn't find anything at a reasonable price. The only one I found was the ASRock 6600 XT Challenger D OC. It's an ok card but it is a really good upgrade over my dying GTX 970.

I play on 1440p and the card performs pretty well. I can't complain at all, except for the price and availability (which seems to be still available around here). I mostly play New World these days and the card gives my 60-100FPS on a mix of High and Very High settings (shadows on medium).

Got my two RX 6600 cards mining. 57W in software, assume 65-70W at the wall. 500 min core clock, 630 max core clock, 1900 memory.

I just installed the newest 21.10.x drivers, and NBminer picked them right up.

28.4MH/sec. Not as good as my 1660 Super (31.xx MH/sec) in terms of hashrate, but slightly better efficiency, and better resale value for gamers.
