Question RX580 with older PSU for short term non-gaming, okay to use?

I've got a new Corsair CX650-F on the way but my RX580 will arrive sooner. I'd like to use it to run some final diagnostics on my new 4K monitor. I won't be gaming on it.
Current PSU is an old Antec Earthworks 430W. Obviously at full load we'd have problems, but for short term non-gaming use, would I run into any issues?

Other than that, does that PSU have more than one six pin GPU power connector? I don't think the card is going to operate well (maybe not at all) at less than connection, I'd guess it takes a 8 pin and a 6 pin.

It definitely takes both and would need an 8 to 6 adaptor to use two 6 pins for power. The original packaging came with one, if it doesn't come in the box (this was open box) the this is a moot point anyway as the old PSU doesn't have an 8 pin GPU connector.

I guess I can do some googling later. I suppose I'm looking for idle power draw and a way to artificially limit the power draw (aside from my PSU doing the limiting by crapping out!). I just really want to run the monitor through it's 4K paces before the return window is over. Waiting for the new PSU just kicks the can further down the road.

Good news everyone...UPS just updated my delivery on the PSU to tomorrow. So, I only have to wait an extra day. No magic smoke worries anymore!

That is a quality unit, if a bit short on total watts available.

I ran an RX480 with an 4690K at 4.5GHz on an Antec Neo-Eco 520C PSU for over 4 years, never had an issue. Before the RX 480 it had a 7950 (heavily OC'ed) for about 3 years. For regular usage you will definitely be fine, but even if you do game, you may still find out you are ok. Oh, and before the Intel CPU, I actually ran the 7950 for a little while with a 430W PSU and a Phenom II.

I should have clarified earlier, currently running an Intel 3750K on Z77 chipset, no OC as I think the chip would do it but the PSU and chipset have other ideas.
I'm building a new setup and the RX580 gets me through however long it takes for supply/pricing to return to normalish levels. The current setup becomes the wifey's. I probably need to look into fully replacing the earthworks as its now 7 years old but PSU prices are just so expensive when you try not to buy junk.
