Home Depot has an 18V Ryobi Cordless Drill w/ a 18v battery and 1 hour charger for $29.97.

The battery itself can be used in any Ryobi 18v tool. The battery alone costs $20 and the charger another $20.

Model P207
UPC 0-33287-14183-8
SKU 821198

It's even hotter with the Lowe's $10 off $25

YMMV on using the Lowe's coupons. I got rejected at 2 different Home Depot's, claiming they don't take "printed" Lowes coupons. Seems pretty hit or miss as to whether they'll take them.

Either way, its a great price on that drill even at $29.99. I grabbed one the other day and was surprised at how good it was.

I find that Home Depot wouldn't at least price match anyone and then some, a bit out of the norm. You need to speak with a store manager. I bet they would do the price match with an additional 10% off

Ryobi rocks for the money, tons of Ryobi tools that will operate off that 18 volt battery. Just picked up an 18v buffer for $9.50 on clearance at HD. I have a 4 piece set of Ryobi, with three batteries and charger. Good price on a very nice drill for the money.

For that price I can almost guarantee it is not the Li-on. I think the standard battery is Ni-mh, which works well.

Its not a price match. The price IS $29.99 at Home Depot. The question is whether they'll let you use a "printed" Lowe's coupon or not. There's long threads on this on SD and FW, and its very hit & miss. Some managers will let it go through, others will refuse (such as the 2 that I dealt with).

Thanks! Worked fine for me in Tallahassee. $19.99 plus tax.

Picked one up in Chattanooga.
Tried the coupon but they wouldn't take it.
Still a good deal.

BTW, this drill has a brake. I.E. You release the trigger, it stops spinning.

Never seen a cordless that doesn't have a brake.

I have used this drill as a backup for the last 8 months and it has performed admirably considering I use it and abuse it everyday except weekends.
I remodel houses for a living.

Didnt think it would last one day on the job but the batteries last just as long as the dewalts do but has no where near the torque the dewalt does.

Awesome price!

Well, I only mention the brake thing because I've owned cordless drills that don't have one. I had a couple of older Black & Decker 14.4V drills like that.

Good to hear about the battery charge lasting awhile. That was another concern of mine.

I have a similair one that i bought 2 black fridays ago. I don't know how, but it ended up at my mom's house and she is refusing to give it back

She actually used to have a $150 dewalt (whatever that brand is called) and she said it works "almost as good".

I was actually unsure whether to get this or not because I bought a Ryobi 9.6V for my girlfriend about 2 years ago and it does not have a brake, really annoying. Thanks for the heads-up.

My husband went back today armed with his own coupon and got this for $19.99. He's always hated the pump, pump, pump, and pump some more, then spray, then pump, pump...
This gives him something to use that extra battery with.

Allisolm, very nice, I could use one of those myself.

And yes, I don't think HD will readily honor the coupon that the op linked to. Price match only for exact, or very similar product. Still couldn't hurt to ask for a manager though.

I didn't see any at the Home Depot in Costa Mesa, CA off Harbor (near BBQ Galore/Chipolte).

Would have really loved to get that drill oh well.

I didn't see any when I first went to get mine. I walked out after they couldn't find them. Then I used my Blackberry to go to this thread and walked back in with the SKU #.
The lady at the customer service counter said according to the inventory they had 32 of them!
One of the employees had to get them down off of the very top of the isles (where they stock things).

FYI, my HD has a big Ryobi display set up where the power tools are BUT the chainsaw and the sprayer that allisom bought were in the garden department.

allisolm do you perhaps have the SKU for that sprayer? I work at HD, and I haven't seen it here. I really want one of those, as I hate pumping those sprayers.

Got one. For $30 it is a steal especially with battery and charger.

No SKU on receipt but it does have the UPC - 033287140909 Home Sprayer.

I went to HD to get one of these. I could not find any ryobi on sale and the sales person (I finally found one) had no idea about anything like this
any hints?

Thanks allisolm, checked the UPC at work today, and the UPC wasn't found anywhere in Co. Must be a regional item.
