My current desktop is running on fumes (4gigs ddr2, gtx 260, Phenom II x4 940, 64 gig ssd) and is in desperate need of upgrades.
Since I'm trying to keep the price down, the 2200G looks like a good alternative, at least to hold me over until video card prices come back down to earth.
I can recycle my old case and Power supply, so I should only need the cpu, motherboard, ram, and ssd.
From old PC
- Corsair 650-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
- Antec 900 Case
New parts
- AMD RYZEN 3 2200G - $99
- ASRock A320M-HDV AM4 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - $38 )w/ combo deal)
- WD Blue 3D NAND 250GB PC SSD M.2 2280 - $79
- Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 - $95
Total upgrade costs around $330 with Tax.
Any thoughts, advice? I haven't been paying much attention to gaming hardware lately (other than GPU and RAM prices are out of control) and put this together without much research, so all input is appreciated.
No overclocking needed btw.
Moderate 1080p gaming
Thanks
