Stock continues to fail to keep up with demand at MSRP. Yet it retains the number 1 spot week after week. $550+ shipped from sketchy 3rd parties is the best you can do on Amazon U.S.
Its available in the UK. Scan and Overclockers have them for £499, delivery on Monday or Tuesday if you order now (sat night).
I've kinda convinced myself to wait for the 9950x3d now though.

A local store chain of ours, Central Computers, has a bunch of 9800X3D in stock.

I've had great results with the last 10-12 ASRock boards I've used. I have been using the B650E PG Riptide wifi with a 7800X3D for 6 months now and it's been flawless. However, looks like something may be nerfed when using the 9800X3D? Too many to all be PICNIC. Interesting that using bios flashback to load in older bios revived at least one.

Yikes that is potentially scary. Hopefully if it is a firmware issue, it can be fixed quickly.

I am being cautious with my language, as it is too early to know what is happening for certain. Witnessing so many people in denial and huffing copium during the rapture lake fiasco; there was a lesson to learn. And man is it a bad look. Most have understandably roached out

One commonality between Intel and AMD boards is the makers are too aggressive with OOB settings. That was not the extent of the issues with rapture of course. Nevertheless, manually adjusting settings should be par for the course for DIYers. Heck, undervolting most GPUs is SOP for a good while now. Especially AMD.

Just got one of these in my system, only played war of rights so I haven’t done much testing, but my bios was already updated so I just dropped it in. Very easy. Cinebench scores seemed to be in the ballpark. Excited to try out IL2 in VR and see if it helps any. Coming from a 7800x3d so it’s a total BS upgrade but whatever, I had the itch and most of my usual games are cpu bound sims. It seems to give my D15s a much harder workout than the 7800x3d did. Probably those bumped clocks now that cache is under the cores.
Try playing with the board's PBO settings. I found the MSI PBO presets reduces both idle and load power by a lot, even with +200mhz offset. It does 25W in idle and 70-80W in games.

I haven't watched it yet.
Mostly looks like bios issues to this point. Undervolting preventing boot. Long memory training times upwards of 15 minutes with a particular kit. Advises to be patient and wait. A few cases of apparent overvolting possible. Maybe a bad batch of CPUs but nothing solid to support that hypothesis yet.

Appears to be something that can be fixed through a bios update. Use bios flashback to revert to the recommended bios version. ASROck recommends not to update bios for now if the system is working properly.

GN will keep monitoring the situation and taking reports from affected users.
