Donnie Darko through the eyes of his sister...

I just saw a preview for this on the Slumdog Millionaire DVD and I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention it considering how much you guys loved Donnie Darko.

Didn't he have two sisters? I assume it follows the younger?

Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I'm not going to sully the experience, having heard nothing but awful, terrible, no good things about S. Darko, which wasn't even written or directed by the same people that did the original.

so is this some kind of super-fan project...that just never should have seen the light of day? after seeing the bonus material on the DC, with the fan contests.... Donnie Darko sure has some ridiculous super fans.

I love Donnie Darko. But I think I'll refuse to see S. Darko. Just saw it advertised in Best Buy's weekly ad. No idea what it was, but with it being a different cast, director and writer... no thanks.

Same reason I never saw Butterfly Effect 2. The first one was great, but it is a standalone film. Both of those movies deserve to just be enjoyed on their own, sequels just potentially ruin the greatness, especially with them being straight to DVD and all the creative talent being different than the original teams.

Wait... so you just admitted that you watched Butteryfly Effect 1? The one starring Ashton Kutcher? And you're saying it was so good you couldn't bare to have it sullied by #2...? :disgust:

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.

No award-winning value to the movie, sure. But it was a fun watch. In the same vain as Donnie Darko, and most people I've known who liked one liked both. Kutcher actually did a good job in the movie, only movie that he didn't typecast himself.
