Hmmm, i see the stats grabbed todays numbers. Reflects everyones flushes today. I wonder if we should subtract these from the total at the end?

This is just to show the days output, and the first day, when we show the stats, they will have produced something for the previous day, but since it does not count, we subtract that from their production. Hope this makes sense

Would it make you feel better if I told you I just installed a new Xeon 2.8 Ghz server with 1.5GB of RAM this weekend? Once I get it configured, tweaked, and running smoothly, I have a strange hunch that it will be spending its nights and weekends crunching for the Raucous ones...

Just a single but considering our old server was an old Dell box running Netware 5.1, each and every WU will be a bonus

I can add an AMD that I recently got a hold of to my setup, but I only have Kubuntu(linux) installed on it right now. If someone has a copy of the linux version of seti classic I'd be happy to get it started crunching. I'd also need detailed install instructions as I only just started playing with Linux and don't know anything about it.

And if any one is interested it's an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ on a soyo K7VM333 mobo with 256 ram

Soggys1stBrat: YGM. Basically, it's the same as the Windows CLI client. Open a terminal (or xterm), cd to the directory (using /'s, not \'s), and just run it like you would on Windows.

Probably best for a Linux noob to just point it to a SetiQ on Windows.

If you can figure out how to install Wine, I can show you how to run it faster.

Question for you: On the Xeon 2.8 HT I now have a hold of what is the best way to set up the client using Seti Driver? Right now, I have it set for 2 processes, and a nice healthy queue of units, but taking a peek at CPU utilization in Everest, it shows:

CPU 1 / HTT unit #1 0%
CPU 1 / HTT unit #2 100%

Shouldn't both HTT units be showing usage, even if its not 100% usage?

Check the task manager instead. You've got it set right with 2 processes, and you should see 100% load in the TM when you open it.

OK. That looks better. I checked it out in Process Explorer, and it shows the two instances of Seti with roughly 50% each. I guess Everest just didn't pick it up right. I'm sure this will help us out, not to mention get me to my goal of top 20 in my class a bit quicker
