S. Nash now vs J. Kidd in his prime

ya, i know, this was posted about a month and a half ago.

i have to say, i'm really impressed with S Nash's numbers lately.

18 assists and 20 points tonite. in a loss.

15 assists last night, 0 TO's. that's pretty amazing.

he has put up numbers i don't ever remember seeing, not from Magic Johnson

they call him the closest thing to Cousey ever. probably pretty accurate.

J. Kidd really only has an edge over Nash in 2 areas (this is in his prime mind you), Defense (no longer) and Rebounds (still has an edge).

S Nash might be the MVP again this year.

Nash is the better passer, he plays chess on the bball court... = lethal combo.

Kidd in his prime is one of the greatest point guards ever. Nash won't be considered one of the greatest ever unless he becomes a solid defender.

Rebounding and defense (especially defense) are very important. Kidd can't shoot but his offensive contributions were still very strong and his defense far outweighed Nash's offensive advantage.

Nash deserves the MVP. The Suns aren't nearly that scary when Nash is out of the line-up and it showed when he rested a few games last year.

how does Gary Payton in his prime stack up since I think ESPN had Payton as one of the best point guards ever. Maybe Im mistaken.
