S4 broke, S5? Budget $100-$150

Hey all,

Just looking for some quick advice.

I've had my trusty Galaxy S4 (Sprint L720) for 4ish years now and it's been great. Dropped it this weekend on vacation and the screen/lcd broke. Phone boots up, I can tell it's got alerts, and I can connect it via USB.. but alas I can't really do anything with it. $50 for a new LCD/Digitizer with a PITA install process and no way of knowing exactly what all is busted.. so I talked to the wife and we're thinking I just get a new S5 for about $125-$150 off ebay.

Thoughts? I like the galaxy and the UI and am not looking for any huge changes unless there's something way better for my money to consider.

Would you be using this phone for any banking at all?
If so, I would look for a different model, since they will soon stop updating this phone with security updates. They usually only support it for 3 years, which means end of this year will be it.

Yes banking, but I'll likely get a better phone sooner than later, so it still might be ok. I do plan on rooting it and installing a custom rom.
