I had a set of Sabatier MIC knives. They are typical MIC junk. They're sharp for about the first dozen times you use them, then they dull. If you want good MIC knives, get Calphalon. Those are the only MIC knives worth the steel they're made from.

Not all Sabatier knives are garbage (but these are). They used to make very high quality knives. My mother still has the 10" Sabatier chef's knife she received as a wedding present almost 30 years ago. Still holds a nice edge and is in pretty good shape for being as old as it is and even going through the dishwasher regularly (a big no-no, but it's still a nice knife).

i have sabatier stainless steel mixing bowls from about 6 years ago and they are still great....so not
everything they make sucks....

Sabatier is made in China.
Very very low end.

It's possible that the ones Made in France are of reasonable quality, but these MIC ones are not.
