Titan Quest was alright, but had nowhere near the staying power of Diablo.

I actually spent more time playing TQ than D2. The Lilith TCM & TQ Masteries gave you a whole new game using the engine. I never finished Lilith (PC it was on died) but at some point I still want to.

Really? Strange. I've played D2 sporadically for years, while I only played TQ for a few months.

This. TQ/IT with fan patch, Xmax, and some basic mods to get rid of annoying things (infinite potion stacking, turn off night time, show all damage, etc) made the game really fun, and being able to almost go into 1st person view was cool from time to time. The problem with TQ is that the company shut down before they really polished it. My biggest gripe with it is it's too easy as there are some very unbalanced game mechanics and a total lack of multiplayer economy, making the end game almost non-existent. After you farm for gear for a week you'll already be immune to all but like 2 (non-boss) monsters in the game, making it kinda cheesy. Fun for a few months though until you try out most of the class combos.

I dunno.. It seems insanlely hard on it's hardest difficulty. You sure you played it on it's hardest?

Still waiting on a answer for this. I can only assume you thought the camera was fixed like a lot of these games. Well it wasnt. In fact you had complete control over how the camera moved at any moment of the game.

No I did not assume the camera was fixed, I knew I could move it and I did. But you could only move it so much, and that just wasn't good enough. Even at max angle it still didn't "tilt" enough to allow for good view. I cant really explain it, but the only word I have to describe it is "horrible".

I find it interesting how you ignored all my other negative comments. Can it possibly be because you simply have nothing to say about all that because it's very much TRUE?! ; )

Yes, and with Xmax, which gives you maximum monster spawns up to the game's limit (so sometimes there are 50+ on your screen at once) and 3x of every boss. There are just some very unbalanced things about the game and a lot of times the difference between getting owned by everything and standing around yawning is 1 item. Try playing it with a bow haruspex (dream + hunting). Once you get to 1900DA and 100% chance to avoid projectiles, you become invulnerable to everything except certain boss attacks. Another route is to get -100% recharge which will let you spam certain spells which normally have long cooldowns, also another way to reach immunity. And with Defense characters and -50% recharge and a specific shield you can reach 100% block chance with -100% recovery time, almost making you immune to everything but bosses.

The point is yes it's difficult when you get started and some classes have it harder than others (for example pet classes just suck on normal, but on epic/legendary pets get huge hp/dmg bonuses and on legendary a lich king with wraith shell is invincible), but once you learn the mechanics and get appropriate gear it gets boring. And getting that gear is pretty easy.

Ouch, almost 80% negative.

Thats because this is not a Sacred game. This is an arcade coop beat em up style game, with no item drops. Small arena style maps that are linear and give rewards for quests. Its stupid as hell, they pretty much destroyed Sacred, kind of like Dungeon Siege 3. They should be ashamed of themselves trying to call this game a Sacred sequel, nobody should purchase this trash game.

Wow, really? Someone saw Dungeon Siege 3 and thought, 'you know, we really should make a another game like that'? That really makes me sad, I have been playing Sacred 2 in co-op and thinking that it is what DS3 should have been.

There's something about 3 in games that sucks. Doom 3 wasn't good, I didn't like Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege 3 wasn't good, Mass Effect 3 had that awful ending, Half Life 3 is MIA, Diablo 3 sucked compared to D2 LoD & Sacred 3 is a floater that won't flush. I am really tempted now to just avoid all 3rd games in a series.

I had it on pre-order until I saw some preview gameplay and couldn't cancel it fast enough. They've gone too far to the casual Sacred Citadel style and forgotten how to make a good game, for shame.

And yet they say that 3rd time is the charm? What is this!

There is only 1 option for ARPG on PC and that's path of exile. Diablo 3 was a failure by design and sacred 3 is a $10 game trying to pass as AAA by name alone.

Sacred 3 is a disgrace and one of those abortions that should never have seen the light of day

I thought Sacred 1 was a pretty crappy Diablo clone to begin with (I don't think I played 2), not sure why anyone expected anything out of 3 anyway. It's a genre with a very low ceiling.

Sacred 1 was fun in a slightly different way, it was more of a open world hack'n'slasher. there was a huge map and you could go anywhere, do side quests, gear up, i remember the wizard had this unbeatable combo with a fear circle and meteor shower (i played the first one 10 years ago...)
it was ok but later Titan Quest came and reinvigorated the genre.

Sacred 2 is pretty cool. It is very complex and moderately difficult. It takes several play throughs just to properly understand the skill tree. It is easily the most complex ARPG I've ever played, and it is open world to boot.
