Sad Story ***New Update

I have never been in this situation, nor do I really know anyone close that this has happened to.

But please remember that things WILL get better. I have had some pretty bad things happen in my life, and have TRULY hit rock bottom before. (And about serious thinngs, not like girl issues or something like that.) But things ALWAYS get better. I promise.

I belive they are in Eugene Oregon now and he said his dad was going to California.

Man, this is tough... Just hope that your dad will recover from his disapointment and wont leave you. If your parents live through this, they will be stronger as couple... imo

This should serve as an example of why #1. secrets are a bad thing in a relationship and #2 if you have secrets ,keep them to yourself, unless you're willing to start all over again.
I want to say I feel for everyone involved, and I'm sure your mom could use a hug from you.
BTW.... in your update you mentioned, "you no longer have a Dad"... You will always have a father and just because Mom and he don't live together doesn't change who you are or how you and your sisters came to be. Hang in there, you're not alone in this, despite how it may feel right now.

i agree with Azzy. the way he talked, i think he is no longer a husband, but he is indeed still your father. um, just be there for your parents, like they have been for you.

Wow what a sad story. It sounds like there was something that your mom told him that really hurt him and he's having difficulty managing his emotions. A loving father can't walk out on their kids that quickly, not in their right mind, so something must have been very painful for him to react like that.

Things are usually not as bad as they seem, and time heals. Hopefully a little bit of time will help him cope with his pain but he can't do it alone and needs to talk to someone...a buddy atleast, perhaps a counselor, someone he can open up to. He's vulnerable now but time should help him gain perspective.

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. It sounds very painful, and really teared me up hearing it described as 'the last day of my childhood'.

Sorry your situation sucks big time, I know cus my parents divorced when I was 7. It's just sad cus so many people are divorcing and kids are suffering. I see it left and right and it's just depressing. But at least you are grown up and it's not going to fvck you up as much as it would if it hapenned earlier.

I go check on my mom, and she appears to be ok. I clean up the mess, and then ask her what is going on. She said "what I can tell you is that it isn't your dads fault. I did something a long time ago and he is angry about it." (wouldn't have ever suspected my mom to do anything.... guess I don't know her as well as I thought).

What do you propose that she did to make your dad go to such big extremes? Leaving your children.... it must have been a real big deal.
