What voltage could I run this up to? Its a factory 1.6V, not the 1.5V one. What's the highest safe voltage I could run this up to? Temperature is not a problem. My max temps under a load are 38* C or so

The safest bet is to get a flamesuit now and be prepared to be flamed. While you're at it, there's a wonderful feature where you can actually SEARCh articles in these forums.

I'd say put it as high as you can while keeping the temps bearable. Anything over 60 C is asking for trouble.

i was running 2.0v's on my 2400+ for sometiem with no problems.
on the T-bred Bs i dont know the tech docs very well but the the bartons AMD says .5 over stock so that mean stock of 1.65 you can run a MAX of 2.15v anything over that they say it can cause harm.....im running my 2500+ @ 1.975v (over volts at times to 2.02v) been this way since i bought her (first shippment of bartons newegg ever got) and shes running fine with no problems what so ever. ther eis a guy on the hardforums running 2.1v's on his 2100+ for the last 3 months i think and hes had no problems what so ever with it.

Yeah, lets hang him!

Definitely.

Anyhow,

I think anything under 2.0V will keep your CPU alive for at least a year or so..

Who needs em after that anyhow?

Thanks for the help. Seems as though my chip sucks though. Only about 2.05 GHz @ 1.75 V on an NForce2 Board. Can't get it stable above 2.13 GHz or so, and its not worth the extra voltage.

I agree, there must be thousands of questions posted in the last month that have already been asked in some shape or form, if you aint got nothing useful or helpful or at least polite to post whats the point in doing so?

And ppl wonder why we have posts in OT with titles such as 'Is it me or is it getting rude round here?'

Help him or don't reply. A link to a previous post would have been more useful and shown the prefered route.

I do 1.9 all the time... I would do 2.0 but temps get a bit high in the summer and I'm not willing to put a vaccum in my case.

IMO, if AMD says +0.5V is maximum voltage before you risk instant death, I'd stay at least 0.1V away from that to allow for voltage fluxuations and variances in the chip.

But, I have chips that cost me under 100 CAD, so I won't be crying too hard if one dies. If I had a 3200+ or something you can bet I'd be more conservative.
