Got the flyer today, page 4 has the Unilever deal, valid 5/11 -- 5/17/05

Buy any 10 of the selected unilever products and save $10 instantly
(limit 1 per household)

Skippy and Ragu is on sale for 2/$3....

so: 10 items = $15, -$10 instant savings == $5

Other products qualify and combine to make good deals, but this is the best combo for maximum savings

I couldn't remember the specifics of the deal last time...
I did a search on the archived posts and saw that it was a "buy 6 get $10 off" -- combined with the stores sale-price of a "buy 1 get 1 free"

I felt kind of guilty walking out with so much food for so little $$

I guess they've learned their lesson about the AT effect, and upped the minimum items to 10

this deal rocks. Despite saving thousands of dollars on computer stuff using AT deals for some reason this deal at Safeway last time was one of my all time favorites.

I think all you have to do is bring the 10 items to check out swipe your Vons/Safeway/Pavillions/Dominique's card at check out as the ad did say limit 1 per household and it'll take off the $10. If you have multiple savings cards you could get more items.

Still lots of ragu and skippy at my local store. Doesn't look like many people spotted the deal.

It's comical watching the clerks scan 10 items and waiting for the discounts to come off and then asking you for 5 or 6 dollars and doing a double take, great deal, and it didn't look like many people were taking advantage of it here. And I got a club card that I didn't have to fill out the membership form, so I am using that one from now on, I hated all there scuzzy bagpeople trying to pronounce my name right (and knowing it at all).
