Saints Row 2, my frirst impression...

I wasn't going to pick this game up until it got cheaper, but the way some of you are talking about it...

Fable 2. Fallout 2. Rock Band 2. 2 Many games. I may have to pick this up.

I was a little skeptical at first but not only am I having SOOOO much fun right now, I see MANY MANY re-playable hours in this game. I have waited for a solid coop game on the xbox360 for so long now, and it is here for me.

I haven't laughed like I did riding around with satchel bombs in such a long time.

On a side note, I am getting REALLY annoyed with the Hitman activity. I cannot even find the first guy in the Arena-Drive In area.

I couldnt find him either, although I was driving around with my ho, and I noticed a target sign on the map right where I was at. I looked over and saw this dude standing there. So I shot at him, and he didnt go down all that easy, but eventually died. Turns out is was Brad, who was on the hit list. Accidentally killed my ho though, as he was on the drivers side and I shot through her to get to him. Anyways, you might have to start shooting people when you are in the area where the guy is supposed to be.

That's how you find the people you are supposed to kill. When you pull up your hit list it tells you how to get them to come to you. Brad if I remember right was the trailer park guy and you had to start a fight to get him to show up. There was a guy that I had to hijack a boat out to the nuclear power plant call a number and he would show up to clean a spill, then I had to kill him.

The cross hair symbol that shows up tells you where that person is.

That's how it was in the original Saints Row. Some of them only appear at certain times of day, and then it's kind of random whether they'll appear or not. IIRC in the original you could initiate one hitman activity (which would add the person to your radar if they were out and about) and still do other activities, so I just picked one at a time to work on and checked the radar as I was driving through their area. I never finished most of the hitman activities though.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try this evening. I vaguely recall the original Saints Row, but I don't remember doing Hitman at all.

any of you guys try basejumping yet? I didn't realize you could, so as I prepared to die after a failed heli landing, "Press Y to open parachute". Awesome.

LMFAO! I was at the airport and hijacked a private jet. As I was taxiing over to the beginning of the runway, "The Final Countdown" started blaring over the radio. AWESOME!!

Does this work when jumping from airplanes while flying? I jumped from one to see if I could open a parachute and while I thought I pushed every random button I could think off I still fell to my death.

should work from any decently high distance. I've done it from heli's, buildings, and planes

Got another secret acheivment. Tossed a cop off a brigde. Got the long way down acheivment. Also got the 50 hostages. This game is just so much damn fun. Not even doing the missions. Just roaming the city causing all sort of destruction.

Really? I jumped from a plan last night and never was prompted to hit the y button. I hit the button anyway hoping something would happen but didn't. I jumped from a building thought and that worked just fine.

I am about 15 hours in and at 30% completion. I've only completed 1 gang's missions too.

been working on sdie stuff and even that is a long way from completion.

Its too bad you can just do the missions straight through. While fuzz can be fun, I think I'd rather blow out all the missions first. Took awhile just to do the Ronin.

I have found the key to this game (much like the AK-47 in SR1) is to get the infinite SMG ammo early (beat downtown snatch). It is then a tad easier, but still challenging enough, some of these missions would be impossible with a few rounds on the pistol.
