Saints Row 2, my frirst impression...

Ha, I was in the middle of a gun fight between myself and a bunch of ronins when I was running for cover and what do I see but a guy in a cowboy hat shooting a six shooter at them. :laugh:

I don't want to read the thread because of possible spoilers, but do you still need to gain respect to do the main story missions? I absolutely hated that in the first game.

I want to pick this up but I'm still waiting to send my xbox in for repairs. I've had to get them to create 3 repair orders because every time I call in I get someone with a ridiculous accent and I can't tell if they got my email address right.

yeah you do, but its about 1000x easier this time around. In SR1 i would struggle keeping a 2x "respect meter", in SR2 right now my meter is at about 45x.

I actually enjoy the mini games in SR2 so much more that I played those for a good portion of my time today. Its killing two birds with one stone, I get tons of respect from it and unlocked several cool items.

Ok.. I completed all the hitman missions last night but I didnt get the "unlimited rifle" ammo just the Satchel charges. both my guide as well as gamefaqs said I should have gotten grenades/charges/rifle ammo from this..

Side question on the hitman missions - in Saints Row, you had to use a particular weapon to kill each target. That doesn't appear to the case this time. I did notice that for the one guy who lives in the trailer park, it said I should wear a wife beater. Do I have to wear a wife beater?

haha.. naw you dont have to.. it just helps you "blend" in so he comes out faster.
I was just walking around in there doing a mission and my hitman icon showed on the radar so I capped him while I was there..
Or should I say.. I decapitated him with my Samurai sword as I'm using a chick that looks like Lucy Lui in Kill Bill Sword and all =D

A couple of times with hitman I didn't even have to do anything and the person appeared. The hardest one to get out in the open was the cop. It took a long time of blowing crap up.

In Saints Row there was an ambulance driver you had to kill. You just had to dial 911 with your cell phone to get her to come.

I've killed a couple of different people on the hit list while doing other missions. I got the cop last night while doing a Brotherhood mission, I was running through the city trying to get away from the cops and noticed the cross hairs showing up on my radar and it was him.

Can someone please help me with the Humboldt Park Science Museum stronghold for the Ronin?

I cannot finish this fucking level. I go inside the museum and kill all the baddies, go upstairs and finish of the 12 servers, then it says kill the reinforcements.

Well, there's a big red arrow pointing up at a Helicopter that I can't shoot. And if I go downstairs back outside, there's just a continuous spawn of bad guys that come after me.

Now I see some other red dots of people clustered together in a building that I can't access (adjacent to the museum), so how am I supposed to kill them? I'm totally stuck and I've tried this mission twice.

then shoot heli game over.

I have read that there are 5 on a few sites. Another side question for you, did you get the unlock for the satchel charge?

I have read that there are 5 on a few sites. Another side question for you, did you get the unlock for the satchel charge?

Yes I got grenades as well as satchels now with 3 lists.

I almost threw my controller at the screen during that sword fighting mission for the Ronin. That jackass kept body slamming me. I had to play the mission three times to finally beat him.

A trick I found was to hold down L2 to do that power move on him. He will body slam you but you will still do damage to him, as well. When your health is low eat a burger to regain your health.

I didn't think it went back up in that mission? It never seemed to regenerate for me.

Yeah, it regenerates. I'm playing on the normal difficulty level.
