Saitek Keyboard Lights?

Does the backlight in the Saitek keyboards always stay on or can it be turned on/off manually? Thanks.

And, FWIW, there are two models of the Eclipse keyboard - an older one that has lights behind the keys, but does not light the key lables, and a newer Eclipse that DOES light the key lables. They both have three levels of brightness, removable numeric pad, etc.

I had the older one for a year, and it was OK, but the touch of my new Logitech UltraX keyboard is much better for typing..

my eclipse has 3 brightness settings. ive never seen one with a removeable num pad though. its the best keyboard i have ever owned. (even better than the old ibm models imho.

^^Agreed I love my Eclipse keyboard, it's nice for gaming at night to find keys you don't use frequently.

How do I know if I am buying the one that lights only behind the keys, or the one that lights behind the labels?

The one with lights through the keys is the eclipse the one with the lights behind the keys is the gamers keyboard

Eclipse (black keyboard) - light through the keys
Executive (grey/silver/metalic keyboard?)- doesn't light through the keys
Gamer (grey keyboard)- doesn't light through the keys

I have the Eclipse and the annoying thing is that it defaults to the high (light) setting everytime I reboot. I don't know if there is a way around this but no big deal. If anyone does know, please pm me.
