3 years experience, making $60k and increasingly ($10k every year) which seems to me, a very good number towards increasing loyalty.

Is this pretty well? Or am I still dirt poor?

How that salary stacks up depends on the field, but that's not bad for the overall area.

Most folks would be pleased with a 16% increase...

I live in st. paul off of Grand ave myself, the twin cities is a pretty easy area to find work and the cost of living isnt too insane. 60k is pretty good for around here and 10k raise ever year is quite insane. What field is all that matters I suppose, engineering/programming?

I guess it depends on what you do. Regardless, that's an easy salary to live on where you are.

Not to sound rude, but you've been living in the twin cities and working here for 3 years and you are unable to tell if you are dirt poor or not?



And regarding your topic summary, "should I be happy?".... Besides the fact that we don't know your age, what you went to school for, and what you do, why do you need other people's opinions on whether you should be happy or not based solely on your yearly income?

I live in Minneapolis and the option to live in Rogers as well (Rogers is a boring as hell town anyway, believe it or not) Minneapolis preferred 'cuz it's close to all the good places if you know what I mean...

My sister makes $60K at Ameriprise. Yet she's asking me to help her pay rent. Her husband on the other hand doesn't make as much as she does, but his paycheck on top of hers makes them closer to the upper ups.

Don't tell me that 60K is high class, not for a sister and brother in law with terrible budget plans, lol~

You are very well off, buddy on 60/year, trust me, an example of our friend's quote from California. Hey, don't feel bad though, there are people in Frogtown and North/South Minneapolis who don't make a lot of money, parents combined annually, 'yet' they live happily and their children become successful for the most part.

Jeeze. Why so harsh? My parents make 35k a year combined, and we get along (a family of 7) just fine. It isn't very hard. Hell, we have a 10 person hot tub, a swimming pool, trampoline, multiple cars (one for each driver).

Let me rephrase - I have 3 years work experience I am originally from Fargo, North Dakota. I do apologize (all of my work experience was there) I just moved to Eden Prairie 2 months ago.

I let her go for a couple weeks. 9/26/07 we throw her a fvcken birthday party which I payed for. I hated her damn guts so much 'cuz she's got this bi_tchy attitude and I absolutely hate it, is thankful for nothin' and pretends she's perfect. wasn't even there for it 'cuz I had to go to a class, didn't care.

27th comes around the corner. ungrateful younger brother playin' video games after school, I ask him to help the younger ones with their homework. damn kid gets mad and puts a dent on my corolla by kickin' it, I'm like 'too bad your fvcken parents didn't teach you.

my youngest sister, all the sh!tty situations she's been covering up because of my now-divorced parents allowing her to get away with it. I cracked her pride. But my youngest brother still acting like a fvcken bi_TCH thinks he doesn't have to answer to anyone 'cuz he's a 6th grader and ready to hit middle school in less than a year, literally.

come winter, when the weather is hell frozen over, they're gonna get it good.

so you asked me why I like usin' the G key? it's tellin' these fvckEN teens and pre-teens that they act up, when they answer to me, they're gonna fvcken get the punishment of their hell forsaken lives.

Don't tell me that 60K isn't enough or that it's too much. If you suck at budgetting like my older sister who happens to make about that much, and she's a senior financial analyst, good hell, you got a lot of rethinking to do, just like she does.
