I can't eat more than a quarter of a bag at once. I just used some Listerine after brushing my teeth and OH MY GOSH IT HURT SO BADLY.

Haha yes this same thing happened to me.

I think your tongue can only take so much acid. I didn't think vinegar was that strong, but when I made some of my own virgin olive oil+vinegar+pepper dressing for some spinach salad, I had the same problem-- raw tongue afterwords. The feeling is akin to drinking too-hot-coffee.

Still love them, just gotta exercise restraint or it hurts too badly.

You're buying the wrong kind. Don't buy that Lays crap. Upscale, thick, kettle style are the way to go if you're going to eat salt and vinegar chips.

I love them because they taste great and they are self limiting (kind of). You can only eat so many and then you just have to stop.

Just the smell makes my mouth water like crazy. Actually, even thinking about smelling vinegar makes my mouth water a little.

In small quantities I wouldn't be opposed to drinking it. Hell, I use to drink the juice out of dill pickle jars when I was a kid. My dad and I would do shots. LMAO.
