I was originally disposed to not liking this, but it has such a light hint of cherries, you wouldn't know unless someone told you. Very refreshing. I like their light spring/summer ales too.

For the price, most of their beers are a good supermarket buy.

I haven't tried all their brews... The octoberfest is pretty good.

I like picking up their multipacks with friends and each of us try the same beer at the same time.

Usually only every other beer is enjoyable, while 1 out of 4 are "meh" and the remaining 1 out of 4 are just plain nasty.

I will never buy Sam Adams to drink other than this scenerio.

I bought a case of the boston lager at costco.. it was like $17 for 28.


It's not bad. It's really strong for an american beer.. Not the flavor of boddingtons though

I don't care for the original Sam Adams, but their Creme Stout is awesome, and so is some other one that I can't pronounce, let alone spell. I also like their Light when I need something to wash down a pizza Sunday afternoons.

Their light beer is one of the better light beers you can get, a lot better then the normal watered down crap you can get. I'd say middle of the road beer, but definatly not crap.

Definitely one of the best light beers out there. Also liked their Cherry Wheat and their Winter Lager.

Sam Adams is the best of the popular domestic beers. It doesn't have anything on Three Floyd's or the other micro-brews scattered throughout the country.

I asked for a guiness the other day at "Joe's Crab Shack" and the waiter said "We have Sam Adams.". I asked if it was a lager, or a dark beer, he said no. WTF? Tried it anyway, wasn't that impressed, but didn't "dislike" it either.

Props to Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for bringing good beer to the masses. That being said, give me a Stone IPA, Stone Arrogant Bastard, or Sweetwater IPA any day.

I agree, I like their Oktoberfest. I was able to grab a case of it in November before they sold it all at my local beer store...

However, it's not the best Oktoberfest in my opinion. I really like Spaten and Beck's Oktoberfest. Check them out if you get a chance.

For Sam Adams, I always like the Boston Lager. It's one that you'll almost always find in my fridge.

i'm pretty indifferent to lagers in general, though sam adams is a good example of the style. their summer wheat and cherry wheat have a nasty mediciney aftertaste thanks to the fruit additions. their pale ale is pretty wretched. the hefeweizen is OK, but i wouldn't pick up a six-pack on purpose.

Dammit, now I have to buy more beer. I love Stone IPA. Such a full range of flavors.
Sam Adams Light is my choice when just eating at a Ground Round, 99, or the chain restraunts. I don't usually buy cases of beer anymore, just not enough time to drink it. When I want beer, I'll go out for it. There's a great brewery in Downtown Lowell.
