I just saw these in the store and was about to pick some up until I saw the price. $10 for a 4 pack of dopplebock, imperial wit, imperial stout, yikes. I used to buy a 24 packs of dopplebock for $32.

off topic but I tried Summer Ale this past week and loved it.

I usually buy it and my docuhebag friends drink it all and wow was it tasty.

personally I had a mediocre experience with Sam Adam's "specialty" beer.

my friend bought me a variety pack, including summer ale, hefenwiz, some dark bock, nut brown ale, and other stuff. I must say their original is the best, everything else was just not my taste.

then again, I have yet to try utopia.

Well all the hate I see is from big Breweries. You don't see any micro's getting a hate. I just see it as hating on fast food, driving auto, soda, and the like. All the same type of snob people.

The worst micro brewery is 100x better than anything Sam Adams could ever hope to make. Just like the shittest mom and pop pizza place is infinitely better than any chain.

Sam Adams Summer Ale OWNS, fuck beer snobs, go drink your Arrogant Bastard and believe in your own mind it's so much better than a big name beer. A.B. cracks me up, the bottle even has "you probably won't like this..." printed on it. If A.B. was made by Sam Adams it would be the most hated shit out there. But since it's from a micro-brewery it's to die for.
