Samba Help

I am trying to setup Samba on a RH 7.1 box so that I can browse my network. I am very new (2days) to Linux and need some help. The install for Samba states that a SWAT line needs to be added to the inetd.conf file. I do not have this file anywhere. Is this because I setup the box as a workstation instead of a server? I do have Apache installed and running.


Any help would be appreciated.

You would be correct, run the package manager that comes with Redhat and select the Samba 2.07 package to install and check to resolve dependencies and reboot and you should be all set... I am a Mandrake guy so I am not sure which package manager would come on Red Hat...
