Sam's Club pass ->1-21

Heard on the radio a link for a one day pass. Didn't hear the entire link before the annoucement had stopped, but did a little searching and found this. One day pass good through 1/21.

The only downside to these is that a 10% fee applies...

So if you plan on spending enough, you might as well just get a membership.

Aside from that, the amount you usually save at Sams is probably around 10% anyway. So it's a good deal depending on what you plan on buying....

Is it still true that if you have a walmart/sams giftcard that you can use it as a one day pass? I thought I heard that here once. But maybe not.

Anyway, I got a $15 giftcard and there is a $28 item I want to buy from sam's but I don't have a membership. But if a 10% fee applies then it isn't worth it because I can buy that $28 item for $30 a walmart probably.

True, and a lot of the times the Walmart is right next door. Once in a blue moon you will find a good deal at Sam's though.

Read on FW that Sams had around 20 GC games priced at 12.88 so it might be worth checking out if you have the time!

Don't they have this one day free day (10% upcharge) deal all the time? They used to. I gave up on Sam's because I didn't think the savings justified the annual fee.

The best deals at Sam's is the food (if you have a big family/group to buy for). 9 times out of 10 though you can get better deals on the merchandise elsewhere. Oh, the other good deal in at the fuel island too, the savings there can almost always pay for your membership if you're a commuter and there is one on your way.

Lupi, you might update your topic title to reflect that there is a newer Sam's Club One-Day Guest Pass. It expires Feb. 1, 2004. Keep in mind that, as before, a 10% service charge is applied to member prices (to encourage you to join). Hope that helps!
