Agreed with the OP. This is indeed magic RAM.

Unless you need more than 16GB, look no further.

Just had to link this image...never seen marketing take this angle on selling memory before.

This DDR3 is thee bomb. I just can't wait for 8GB modules to start appearing in retail.

Is there any reason to buy the 2x4 kit as it seems to be more expensive for some reason.

Kits in general are marketed as tested working together at factory, but I have not heard or read anyone having issues with these single-sticks.

Newegg reviews for the single-stick 4GB is rated at 5-star at 92%, and I see lot of reviews with positive results with or without overclocking.

Buy these from a vendor with good customer service and if they don't work well just return or exchange it.

Like the OP says these are indeed magical RAMs. It's difficult to comprehend the fact that it is so small yet so powerful and operates at a very cool voltage. This ram is like Moses, but instead parting the red sea it parted all the grossly out-of-control heatsink rams in the market.

I take it that all of you who want 8GB sticks use software that actually takes advantage of more than 16GB?

Dunno about anybody else, but I run virtuals, Visual Studio, Adobe Suite apps, and typically have 40~60 tabs open at any given time in Chrome.

16GB doesn't last long.

The thing that makes Samsung sticks so nice is the 35nm process. No need for heat spreaders.

That's really the point of the fuss over these.

It's like finding out your stock Chevy Cruze can run circles around a Lamborghini and still gets great gas mileage.... and wanting something like that with a lot more trunk space.

Zap's link to Termie's thread is for 35nm 8GB sticks...
