Samsung 191N seems flimsy, what gives?

Hey, I just picked up a Samsung 191N monitor and was curious to know if others who have this model can testify to the flimsiness of it's back support. My particular unit came with many finger smudges which leads me to believe it was returned for one or more reasons of defects. I'm currently testing it and visually it seems fine. Accept of coarse when I try to adjust the height of it, the back will wobble really violently. I don't want it to sound so melodramatic, because it really isn't a big problem but just the same I'd like to know if it's a general design flaw or if I truely recieved a defective model.

It's the right side unit which has those rectagular stand. The left is 191T with the half egg shape and is built rock solid!

I sold a 191n to a customer, and tested it out for a week until they came to pick it up. I didn't notice any of the "flimsy" issues that you described.

John, can you tell me why this unit seems brighter than the 191T connected via DVI? I cannot for the life of me replicate the same colors/contast on these two monitors.

John, can you tell me why this unit seems brighter than the 191T connected via DVI? I cannot for the life of me replicate the same colors/contast on these two monitors.

You`ll get different image quality between 191N(anologue only LCD) and I91T which can use DVI for improved IQ,as to brightness I have had different monitors of the same make and model and in theory they all should be the same but in reality I`ve found them to all be slightly different in colour,brightness etc.

Remember in DVI mode you can`t adjust the contrast via OSD on the 191T like you can in analogue mode on 191N and 191T,all you can do use the "Natural colour" software that`s is supplied with the monitor to adjust colour settings etc.

Bottom line don`t worry about it.
