My $100 MIR only showed up after calling them. Probably, another 2 months before the check is finally mailed out. OD is not really good anymore with MIR like they used to.

I contacted OD and they didn't have record of my rebate... I'm going to resend to the address in the rebate and the resolution center the rep gave me.

My submission was stuck in "Validation Period" so I called...twice. Both times the reps said it would be released to be paid but there's still no check mailed.

Hardly alone, Athena.

I just sent them an email on Friday pointing out that the 60-90 day waiting period (as stated on the rebate form) has passed, and basically demanding my check.

No response yet. I'll give them a week to reply. We shall see what happens after that (SAG?).

Many of my Office Depot rebates take 16 weeks after mailing. One of them had a message online that a receipt was not included. I called them. They said they had the receipt, but could not read it. Gee, I gave them the original receipt. So, I pulled up my scanned copy and read the numbers to her. Give me a break.

Mine shows up and is at Step 3 of 5 "Validation Period"
It shows 25 Jan as the end date so we'll see what happens in the next week.
I already recieved the $30.00 rebate from Samsung and if this goes thru as it should the end cost for me will be $149.00 + tax!
Still haven't found a LCD at a better price.

Golly gee whiz..ain't it funny how the rebates get "stuck" in the validation period, especially the larger rebates, like 100.00. I called today on a 100.00. a 60.00, and another 100.00 for my elderly dad. All 3 rebates were close to 4 months after mailing. The rep put a rush on them all. My buddy has the same problem on his 100.00 rebate. The rep said she does not know what causes them to get stuck, "You know how computers can be" Yeah, right. I think I know. It's a business plan, code named Operation Nopay, where the rebate goes unpaid unless you call.

Just wanted to follow up-my "validation period ended on 16 Jan but the website still showed my rebate as "waiting". I contacted them thru that website and today got an email apologizing for the delay and stating that my $100.00 would be processed immediately.
Those still waiting might want to get in touch with them ASAP.

Oh and Geezerman you hit the nail on the head with your post- it's always the way isn't it lol

I wrote them and they said that they were holding back because I did not enclose my receipt! I am going to report these scammers to the BBB and the Office of the Attorney General here in Minnesota. I urge anyone that does not want to continue to be cheated by these scammers to do the same. Both can be done by e-mail, and being the Rebate Center is in Young America Minnesota, I would think the report should be filed in their home state, no matter what state the victims reside in.

Yeah, I got a notification of "no original receipt" in the mail recently. I went back to my original store where I bought the monitor from and complained about it. She was nice sale rep as she called the corporate and faxed the receipt to them b4 the deadline. This rebate is the hugest one I ever had (damn OD)... Still waiting for their confirmation.

The Office Depot rebate form said "The original Office Depot sales receipt (or photocopy) showing the item purchased dated 9/11/06-12/30/06"

In other words, a copy will do. In most cases, you can get things straightened out by just calling the number on the form. If you scan and keep copies of all rebate submissions, you can just print or fax a copy to them directly if they really need it.

1-866-541-0284 is the number on the rebate form.
You do have to sit through a lot of recording before you get to a live person: the easiest thing to do is to take the "you have received a rejection letter" option and wait for a rep.

Yep, that's what I did. All the other options in the menu will lead you to pre recorded messages that end in "bye- bye.":|

My rebate has been stucked at "validation period" and now adjusted to "check approved" after talking to a csr...will be really happy when I get the check.

Got the $30 samsung rebate check today, and according to the HD website they mailed my $100 rebate check on 2/15.

This has got to be the hotdeal of 2006 I have had zero problems with this monitor, and with the price match and the two rebates my net cost was $149 you can't buy a decent 17" for that.
