BJ's is clearing out last years model of the samsung Tantus TSL3295 32" Flat Screen HDTV. This tv is normally priced around 1200 dollars. I picked up one and it is awesome , it has a built in Dolby surround sound receiver .
Downside is it only has 1 HD input

EDIT : Hope people are happy now. put BJ's in the title. If anyone still doesnt know , BJ's is like Sams and Costco . I think mostly east cost.

Damn badluck.... I think "what's BJ's" is a simple question. Myself I didnt' want to do a search on BJ's because I was afraid it would reference something sexual.

BJ's is a membership warehouse. costco also has a similar deal, a 32 inch samsung hdtv this week for 799 with coupon, but both of these joints charge membership fees. BJ's sounds like the better deal, higher end tv...

I own the TSL3293HF which is almost exactly like the TSL3295 except it lacks the Dual Tuner PIP I think. If you can find this TV for $799 brand new it is a steal! I got mine when BestBuy was clearing it out for around $800 (but it was the floor model). I love the TV, it is great for DVDs and Xbox gaming in 480p. I haven't tried 1080i yet, but the picture in 480p is really good! Only downside is it only has 1 HD input, and the input cannot autodetect a 480i vs. 480p/1080i signal so you need to select "DVD input" for 480i component video sources, and "DTV" for 480p/1080i sources (Xbox will only use 480i for its dashboard/bootup logo, but almost all games run in 480p so the boot logo looks screwed up when I first bootup my Xbox and the TV is set to "DTV").

In any case, I am very pleased with this TV! I would highly recommend it if you can still find it at Costco or BJ's!

The reason I requested information on BJs is precisely because this is strictly a brick and mortar establishment, kind of like Fry's, and even worse yet, it is only available on the east coast. This is why these type of posts should always include the dealer in the post title. This way people like me in Seattle won't waste time opening a useless thread. If people don't put "Frys" in the headings for these particular deals, they get told about it repeatedly by people like me who don't have access. I just think it is common courtesy to really use the post header and fill with as much information as you can.

I have had same TV for around a year and it is AWESOME. Make sure u set it p using Video essentials, AVIA, or the Souind and VIsion home theater setup guide.

Xbox is actually better off with this TV. If u had seperate compnent cables for 408i and 408p/1080i, you would have to switch component plugs to set up the xbox or play the few 480i games they have. Now, it is just a push of the button.

Are there no Costcos on the West Coast?

Put "BJs" and "BM" in the post title (editing the title by thholr would take maybe 30 seconds of his/her time) and everything will be good in the future. I'm not going to post anything further after this, but I continue to think that it is common courtesy to specify brick and mortar stores and limited locations in the title. If everyone in the country could easily get this deal for $799, I would say the post title was fine.

Wyck, you wouldn't happen to be from the Bay Area, would you? I want the wide screen from Sam's, but I have a Costco membership... damn these warehouse places.

Unless this is a deal for a different TV, only one (or maybe two) people at FW have been able to get in on this, so the chances of anyone finding this TV on clearance are very slim.

Yep the FW deal *was* for a different TV...it was the older 3293 for only $349!!!

However the $799 deal is probably a lot more widespread =P The 3293 was available in VERY short supply for $349 and like 2 people got in =(

I would have gotten it but even if I had it would have been ridiculous...I don't have a truck or anything plus I live in a dorm! Moving back to NYC would have been hell.

Is this TV still available? Anyone know? In particular, is it available in the BJ's near Boston (the one in Medford or Malden or Stoneham or wherever that one is?)
