I tried to do the same with FRY's. But they told me they only match a "cash value" price (not after rebaters). CompUsa 420$ and Fry's is 379$.
So I bought it for 379$-50$rebates.

You will have very little luck buying ahead of time and trying to price match on Black Friday. I know for sure that the customer service counter is closed at BB Friday morning and I doubt you'll have any luck with other retailers.

i was gonna pick this up, then i realized the insane ammount of rebates on it, so i didnt feel like spending $400 on something i really dont need.

These rebates are a major turn-off especially when you have to pay tax on your rebate, over 8% here.

You can get the 710N-2 for $281.99 at buy.com with no rebates to hassle with, no tax with free shipping.
It looks to me like the specs are about the same as the 712N.

sold out of the Samsung, but they had 3 left of the Norwood Micro.

I was debating to myself what to do, while 2 people grabbed 2 of the three left, so
I picked up one, then a couple of more people came looking for the Norwood Micro,
and tried to talk me out of the one in my hand. They ended up buying the NM, and
Samsung 712N Display models off the floor.

Here is the specs on the Norwood. It seems Ok to me, after I set it up, nicely packaged, very easy to read manual, bright and very clear. Maybe one dead pixel (white)
but so far that is the only one I can see. What does anyone know about these? Doesn't seem to be much
about them on the web.
